Interactive training for the dedicated triathlete.

Train harder and race faster with the triathlon-savvy metrics provided by the Garmin Forerunner 935 GPS Tri Bundle. This bundle pack includes the Garmin Forerunner 935 GPS Watch, HRM-Tri monitor, and HRM-Swim monitor, giving you the ability to track your training and racing efforts on the road, in the pool, and across open water. The Forerunner 935 is an advanced running and multi-sport watch with a barometric altimeter for tracking elevation, built-in GPS for tracking speed and distance, wrist-based heart rate monitor, training status indicator to determine if you're overdoing it, and rich running dynamics like lactate threshold and VO2 max.

Not only is the Forerunner 935 ideal for running, swimming, cycling, but it also supports cross-country skiing, paddling, trail runs, hikes, and strength training, among others. To customize its use to your preferred outdoor activities, you can create tailored workouts with the Garmin Connect app (for both iOS and Android). For additional running statistics, you can pair the Forerunner 935 with a Garmin's Running Dynamics Pod (not included) for cadence, stride, length, ground contact, balance, and vertical oscillation.

The bundled HRM-Tri monitor is ideal for gaining additional running statistics, such as cadence, stride length, ground contact time, ground contact time balance, vertical oscillation, and vertical ratio. It's designed for use across open water environments, storing your heart rate data while swimming, before feeding this data directly to your Forerunner 935. And for swimming in pools, the included HRM-Swim monitor features a grippy lining when you're pushing off from the wall while swimming laps. Both of these heart rate monitors are extremely low-profile and smooth-wearing, so you won't be restricted in the water or succumb to irritation.

    Could be much better.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Pros: Good tracking availability, once you figure out what different stuff does, displays good information.
    No touch screen
    Menu operations are not consistent.
Straps and watch do not interface with Polar HRM systems on common health club gear.
Manuals not sufficient to explain how the watch works and what stuff does.
Proprietary charge cable that is too short.

For the cost and the above cons, I think that there are likely better HRM /GPS tracking devices available.

Works exactly how I expected it to

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I'm training for a triathlon and this watch is coming in very handy. Very easy to program and use. I wouldn't recommend this without the heart rate strap, but if you use one it's works perfect.
