Why We Like The Fenix 6X Sapphire Heart Rate Monitor
With a larger face display and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal lens, Garmin’s Fenix 6X Sapphire Heart Rate Monitor is designed to guide our active pursuits and withstand abuse on epic trail explorations. With that additional space, Garmin beefs up the battery life and data storage. The increased size is a worthy upgrade if we have larger wrists or would like a more effortless viewing ability during hard-training. And the 6X functions exceptionally well for daily life in town and transitions with eager confidence off-road and off-grid.
The Garmin Fenix line is well-known for stacking the table with features that reach far beyond telling time and providing an extension to our smartphone notifications. Garmin delivers a premium wearable with the 6X that collects critical exercise data, prompts us when it’s time to push harder, and provides detailed mapping and course planning well as the basics to keep us connected socially, and more.
It manages our activities and training and pushes us further when it’s time. The watch integrates with a broad range of sports like cycling, running, and swimming, and Garmin’s Body Battery Energy Monitor and sleep monitoring features look at accumulated stress and recovery to help guide us on the path towards peak fitness. In-activity features like PacePro help suggest pacing strategizes so we can hit that PR and not overcook yourself.
With more and more specs being added to the 6X, it’s easy to get lost in what it can do for us and our goals. Garmin designs the watch to keep us up to date and on track regardless of our activity or lifestyle. Smart connectivity keeps us informed about the weather, phone notifications, allows Garmin Pay, and even plays music with storage for up to 2,000 songs. And should we want to take a step further and venture off into the deeper countryside, the 6X even keeps tabs on our physical responses to altitude stress and detects incidents that can be sent as alerts to our loved ones and emergency contacts. It’s a watch that never has to leave our side unless it’s charging up for the next adventure.

Excellent watch
The watch had a useful life of less than one year, it had failures in the barometer altimeter and a very important failure in intermittent communication with the telephone

The most complete sports watch!
It really has all the functions one can expect from a sports watch, a beautiful and robust design, a long lasting battery. It would be perfect if Garmin Pay accepted more credit cards in Brazil - unfortunately it only accepts BTG Pactual Mastercard in Brazil.

Charging slot
Really angry and disappointed off at the quality of the charging dock/slot of the Garmin watch. This is my second pair, upgraded from the Fenix 5x Exactly the same issue. Struggling to charge. 2 years and the charging dock won’t charge or connect.

Bluetooth Connectivity
Although I’ve had this watch for some time I am constantly having issues with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. I’m ready to chuck it in the bin.

Fenix 6X Pro disconnects all the time
This review is in response to an email invitation received from Garmin following the 'recent' registration of my watch. In reality I have registered this watch a year and a half ago and Garmin should know that. The problem is that in the last few months the watch disconnects from the app every other day and needs to be taken through the Bluetooth pairing and connection procedure. And this is quite annoying. Garmin is just adding insult to injury by sending me a congratulation message.

Regular sync problems
This watch was ok to start. But now the app regularly refuses to sync - I have to remove the watch and then add it again. Happening about once a month now.

Was Great
Bought this 10 months ago, really good at the start, now it just freezes, and I have to keep on restarting it, battery life won’t even last a day now. I’ve tried un-pairing it from my phone and re-pairing, reconnecting to Wi-Fi. Very disappointing.

Amazing watch!
The Fenix 6X is a big rugged watch. It looks strong and robust, has enough battery life to last two weeks. Upgraded from vivoactive 4. The only downside is that it is all button controlled which is hard to get used to from the vivoactive 4. Still a great looking and amazing watch!
