Crampons

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I haven't needed to use these yet but they go on and off the skies easily. I have them in my pack so when I do need them I'm set.

Easy to install and fits great

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I bought both the 130 mm and the 105 mm for a pair of Atomic Backland 109s. The 105 mm worked great. I'd say you can easily go to a 110 mm width with the 105 crampon without issues. Anything in the 111 - 113 range is probably going to be a bit tight. More than that, go with the 130.

So fast and easy to use.

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I have been using ski crampons since the late 90's and these are by far and away the best yet. The biggest plus is that they are so fast and easy to use. As a G3 Athlete, AMGA/IFMGA certified guide and AMGA Examiner I get to use these a bunch on big mountain ascents around the world. I recommend them to my clients who have never used ski crampons and they are always amazed as to how easy they are to deploy and remove. When in a group of my peers of guide candidates, I am always the first one with them on or off. their weight is comparable to other brands and they have proven much stronger then other tec binding ski crampons on the market.

Solid design

These are super easy to install/remove and pretty lightweight. I don't hesitate to throw them in my pack just in case. It's worth noting the size options are based on ski width, not necessarily the width of the crampons. I have a pair of BD Converts that are 105mm underfoot, so naturally I got the 105mm. These fit cleanly over that ski. Out of curiosity, I quickly tested the crampons over another pair of skis and found the 105s just barely fit over a 110mm ski.

Best Ski Crampon Design

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I've got two pairs of skis with G3 ions. These are great in that i can interchange the mounts for them easily (they screw directly into the existing binding holes and you dont need to remount) They are also the simplest to connect and disconnect. And they can be connected disconnected without having to remove your boot from the toe piece. So when you are sketchy out, sidehilling, on a side slope, you can just bust these out, connect them - and be on your way. They are light, and pack down pretty small - an excellent and must have piece for efficient touring. Quick wasting time trying to stick to that steep slick skin track and pop these on.

Don't leave home without

Easy to install and work perfectly--I'll never go back to just skins.

Quality product designed to do it

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Easy installation/hardware for any Tele ski and most bindings. Light and strong materials. Only limitation is inbounds man-made snow piles of frozen granular on a >20-degree pitch; otherwise can almost replace skins for the occasional uphiller

Can these be used with Marker Duke or Baron bindings?

My touring skis are 105 underfoot. Will the 105 crampons fit or do I need something wider than the ski?

>Rating:

From reviews, I have read that some of the crampon sizes will fit skis that are slightly wider. I am in need of a ski crampon for wayback 88s. Will the 85mm crampon work with these skis?
