  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I loved the idea of having very lightweight protection for my poor shins, but I ended up disappointed. I never crashed in them, so I can't speak on that aspect of them. Oddly enough...they were hot! Not "sweaty" hot, but "sunshine on black" hot. Any time I had the sun shining directly on them, it felt like my flesh was being cooked. I used them with POC knee pads, and never had that sensation with my knees. I guess the thickness of the POC pad helps prevent that feeling... Also, the slightest little snag resulted in holes in the material, so they looked pretty bad after minimal use. Better than nothing, so I'll continue to use them, but will look elsewhere when it's time to replace them.

Lightweight- Gave as a gift

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Bought these for my son for protection while skiing. he love how lightweight they are and fit under his pants great.

Lightweight Protection

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I took a fall in these at a decent speed right onto my knees. They protected my knees great and didnt fall down my leg as I slid. They seem to stay up the best when I put these on first before my liner shorts so that the top part is also held up by the tight shorts. Might be just a sizing issue though. They are lightweight and breathable. I ride in South Florida where it is typically in the 90s. Doesn't seem to make me any more hot than I already am.

Wanted to like them....

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large

Wanted to like these pads as they are exactly what I was looking for - flexible pads with the proper safety rating and the perfect amount of coverage. Unfortunately, they did not stay on during my rides and I was constantly tugging at them. Could be the odd sizing (i'm somewhere between a L and XL). If they added straps below the knee to keep these in place, that could provide an improvement in fit.

My bike knee pads

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Best pair of had yet. Able to absorb shock efficiently when getting hit in the Shins with pedals and debris. Not too hot on the the warm days. Great for my use on single track rides.

Feels like nothing is on

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Bought these pads pretty recently and am already so stoked on using them. After about one long ride in them, you start feeling how flexible they truly are. It has gotten to a point for me that I would feel awkward riding without them. They are also very trusting with the Impact Absorbing RPT pads, they truly can handle a beating.

Very Comfortable

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

These are the most comfortable and flexible pads I've ever worn! Hardly noticeable while climbing, and they breathe well in the warm temps. The split padding allows it to flex over your knee, while still keeping you protected from all the dangers on the trail. When they get stinky, you can just throw them in the wash with your other smelly bike gear. I followed the size guide and found they run true to size. If you're gonna ride MTB, you better protect yourself, and you may as well be comfortable while you do it!

Great Pads

I love these knee pads for the hot months here in UT. There are very comfortable and breathe great. I was afraid the little padding wouldn’t hold up, but they have survived quite the crashes and I’ve always been happy I’ve had them on. This newer style does run a bit tight in the thighs though.

    Flex zone!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

If you’re considering the “pro-x” g-forms from the elite, I would definitely spend the extra few bucks on the elite model! They offer more padding and cover a lot more knee surface area then the pro x would. Light weight, breathable, form fitting and highly protective from rough slams really make this pad stand out from the rest. I even leave them on while climbing because of the mobility they offer, I can’t even tell they are on.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

When the trail gets into the gnar and your just a little worried about keeping those knees in model-quality, it's time to slide these badboys on. They'll keep your prayer bones intact.

Sounds good right? I'll keep going.. they're flexible, and non restrictive. You can wear them on the climbs and not want to throw them in a fire. The impact reactive padding feels great, looks, great...even smells decent.

Protects like armor, feels like nothing

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The G-Shock Elite pads are the most comfortable pads I have ever worn. Compared to plastic and rigid pads, these feel like nothing.
The main build of the G-Shock Elite pads is a stretch material that is very well ventilated. The top and bottom of the sleeve has a rubber or silicone ring that prevents the pads from slipping. Due to the non-adjustable design, I highly recommend carefully measuring your leg and using the size chart or trying on in person.
The actual protection is very unique. It reminds me of a turtle shell but is made from a deceivingly soft rubber. Upon impact this material feels like concrete.
I went with the G-Shock Elite over the other models due to the shin protection. These provide about the same about of protection as my POC long knee guards
Overall definitely recommend the G-Shock Elites. Great climbing performance with more than adequate protection on the downhill

    Well protected

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: medium
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 115lbs

My son outgrew his last G-Form pads and requested that we get a new pair. He loves this brand to race all of his enduro events in. They are super comfortable and durable.

Super comfy and great customer service

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: L
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 210lbs

Originally bought an XL and customer service at G-Form managed to get me an L after they were sliding down. I'd say if you are not sure on the size err towards a small. Top notch customer support!!!
The pads themselves are very light and seemless. I've had a couple of light falls on them and they held up great. Actually impressed with how much shock protection they had for how small they are.
They don't absorb sweat so they dry out fast after a ride and they wash super easy unlike my iXS flow which are like sponges and the padding deteriorates and crumbles apart in the wash.
Love the pads and would buy them again. Same for the elbow pads.

    Great pads!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

G Form is the only bike protection I can stand to wear without feeling like it’s getting in my way. These knee pads have solid protection but are super comfortable and lightweight

    Great protection

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: XL
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 242lbs

I bought these after a series of crashes upon my restart in mountain biking. Fortunately I haven’t had to try them out yet. They are comfortable to wear, and I like the extended coverage down into the shin area. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because I don’t consider them to fit like an XL. They don’t fit my thick legs. I struggle to get them up to where I feel the should be, and as soon as I start riding the slip down. This is only a minor annoyance right now, as I’m sure they will still give adequate protection if I fall.

    Secure protection

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 155lbs

Picked up the elite pads for the additional protection they provide compared to the originals. Elites have the same secure fit and I've taken some burly tumbles on double black runs and my knees and elbows have been scratch and fracture free.

    Comfortable and Breathable

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love these G-Form pads. They are lightweight, super comfortable, and they wick moisture pretty well. The padding is like a soft rubber material so they flex with you on every movement. Upon impact, the material hardens up to protect you. I haven't seen a more comfortable knee pad. The Elite will provide more protection than the Pro-X Knee Pad.

    So comfortable!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I must say these are definitely the most comfiest padding that I have used. If you are debating if you should go with the pro-x or the elite I would highly recommend the Elite! They have more padding around the knee then the pro-x and work absolutely amazing on impact. If you want comfortable padding that are lightweight and can still protect you then these are definitely worth the money!
