386EVO PF30 Bottom Bracket

FSA makes the jump to oversized PressFit bottom brackets with this BB386 EVO PF30 Bottom Bracket. It will fit bike frames using either the BB386 EVO or the PressFit30 standard. The defining common feature is the 46mm inside diameter of the bottom bracket shell. This is the bearing set that you'll need for installation of your BB386 EVO or BB30 crankset. Be aware that it is not limited to FSA branded cranks.

To install this FSA BB386 EVO PF30 Bottom Bracket assembly, you'll want a standard BB30 tool to press the composite cups into the frame and to ensure correct installation. The sealed cartridge bearings will ensure smooth operation for many miles. The unit comes complete and ready to install. It's compatible with PF30 and BB386 EVO bike frames.

  • A snazzy bottom bracket for your 386-or-PF30 frame
  • Steel bearings are smooth rolling for speed
  • Sealed cartridge keeps dirt and dust out
  • Compatible with a variety of cranksets with 30mm axle

Great bottom bracket

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Admittedly, I am not a big fan of press-fit bottom brackets. However, I installed this one and it has been flawless. It is on my gravel bike which has seen over 7,000 miles of mud, dirt, grit and grime. I've went through 3 sets of chain rings since the install, and each time I remove the crankset to replace them, I expect the bb to need replacing. But it just keeps going with no play, and super smooth. No creaking either.

So far so good

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Very little miles so far but easy install and no creaks, cranks spin easily. Will look to update down the road.

Don't waste your money

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Do yourself a favor and buy a real one piece bottom bracket made out of metal that threads together rather than this cheap piece of plastic. The one that came on my factory built Cervelo P2 lasted all of four weeks. The one that my mechanic installed on my new road bike started creaking after about ten miles. It was uninstalled and reinstalled and, again, started creaking horribly after a few miles. I guess I should have known that the two cheap pieces of plastic that comprise this bottom bracket weren't remotely going to work.

Works well, presses in easily

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I put John's BB into the Sklon he was talking about before, and this works great. The sleeve in between the two cups is extra long, so it works great for 386 evo frames, and keeping internally routed di2 wires away from the spindle.

Bought this for my new Skylon. Fits in the bb easily and does the job.
