Saucy orange lowers deck out the Fox 36 Float 29 170 HSC/LSC FIT Boost Fork for the perfect flashy touch to make bystanders sit in awe as they wonder if they're witnessing mountain bike history as you charge down burly lines right in front of their eyes. This beast of a fork answers the question many of us have wondered as to whether or not long travel belongs on 29ers with a firm "Yes." It combines all of the best features we love from the newest Fox 26 Float, like the plush off-the-top feel, and unwavering support as you track down technical lines, send it into chunky rock gardens, and boost off of doubles in the park, and with a 29er platform that begs to roll faster down the mountain than ever before.

For 2018 the Fox 36 Float is upgraded with EVOL technology, which increases its negative air spring volume for greater sensitivity to bumpy sections with rocks and roots galore. This particular version of the 36 Float gives discerning riders a greater range of adjustment with its FIT damper providing independent control over high and low-speed compression. This option is welcome if you're the type of rider dialing in every last detail of your fork's operation, especially if you find the stock settings (i.e. Open, Medium, Firm) to be insufficient for your riding style.

36-millimeter stanchions are incredibly stiff, working hard to deflect torsional forces from bucking you silly when you're rallying across boulder sections, taking bigger hits in the bike park, and dropping into precipitously steep descents. These stanchions benefit from FOX's Kashima coating, which reduces friction for a smoother, more sensitive feel on the trail. Not only does the Kashima coating improve overall sensitivity, but it's also much tougher than the black anodized stanchions of FOX's cheaper forks.

    • Tackle the mountain with a long-travel 29er fork
    • Fox's premiere enduro fork in Team Edition graphics
    • Greater sensitivity to small bumps thanks to EVOL air spring
    • Fit damper with high and low-speed compression adjust
    • 36mm stanchions provide robust support and stiffness
    • Kashima coating reduces stiction for smoother feel
    • 15 x 110mm Boost thru-axle with quick-release
    • Item #FRS008C

What do you think about this product?

    Have questions about this product?

Will this fork (Fox 36 170mm 29'er) ever be available w/ the Fit4 cartridge and/or Performance Elite model (or maybe even just w/ out the black lowers)?

Hey Ron, being that the 29" 170mm travel option is new, its likely that you'll see similar options trickle down to other models. Feel free to give a shout to my direct line 801.204.4547 or email cojohnson@backcountry.com if you do have any other questions or if you're wondering if this is the right model for you!

    Cheers,

    Connor
