See you at the finish line.

When you're craving the podium on race day, or just looking to shave a couple of seconds off of your climb, give your bike the tool it needs with FOX's Factory Series 32 Float SC 29 100 3Pos-Adj FIT4 Boost Fork. This feathery fork is engineered with FOX's Step-Cast chassis to save approximately 15% of weight from the standard 32 Float, allowing you to rocket up the climbs without the extra grams. Its smooth, sensitive characteristics remain unchanged from the previous version, courtesy of its 32-millimeter stanchions and FIT4 damper giving riders 3-position adjust (Open, Medium, Firm), as well as 22 clicks of low-speed compression damping in Open mode.

Seeing it's 10-millimeters narrower, the engineers at FOX designed the 32 Float Step Cast with stepped lowers to accommodate disc brake hardware, wheel spokes, and 2.3-inch tires without creating clearance issues. Not only does this stepped lower provide ample clearance for disc brakes, wheels, and tires, but it also significantly reduces weight with a hollow lower section that's resultant of shortening the upper tube length and raising the magnesium lower assembly. This maximizes efficiency in cross-country and marathon racing scenarios where saving every gram is absolutely crucial to success.

The 32 Float Step Cast sports a lightweight version of the Fit4 damper with 3-position adjust for on-the-fly switching between Open, Medium, and Firm modes. Open mode provides 22 clicks of low-speed compression tuning for fine-tuning its feel to your riding preferences and specific race courses at hand. Medium mode is great for gaining efficiency on smoother courses and long uphill slogs where extra efficiency is warranted. Moreover, there's a practical lock-out with the Firm mode, which is best for long fire roads and asphalt approaches to the trail.

Please note, each 32 Float Step Cast comes with a Kabolt thru-axle (bolt-on) that shaves weight while maintaining security. This particular Kabolt thru-axle is the BOOST version for greater front wheel stiffness and precise tracking across the rough stuff.

Great Fork

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This fork works extremely well. Probably not for a heavier rider as there is some giveaways in regards to flex. However, for an XC application this fork does a great job and the damper is reliable.

Unanswered Question

Can you double check the "actual" weights for this fork? You have 1700 grams listed for the 51mm rake model, but I don't understand why it is so much higher than the 44mm model.
