Progressive trail protection.
Building off the iconic legacy of Fox Racing's Flux Helmet, the Metah Mountain Bike Helmet offers a deeper fit with greater ventilation and reduced weight. Big Bore vents rapidly exchange air to prevent overheating in hot, sticky conditions. The integrated visor aligns the vents for better circulation, while also providing coverage from blinding sunshine and trailside vegetation.
Despite these changes, the Metah's coverage has increased along the periphery for enhanced protection in the case of a nasty spill. Multi-density Varizorb foam employs a cone-shaped structure that disperses high-energy impacts better than traditional foam. Updated Y-strap anchors provide no-fuss adjustments when you're riding. To ensure a secure fit, the retention system quickly tightens with the simple twist of a dial.

- Q & A
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I am a fan of Fox but not this helmet. The visor is not adjustable and I cant see down the trail when going downhill. It pushes my sunglasses down my face too. It just sits too low on my face. I have never had a problem with a helmet like this in the 20 years I've been riding. Its just not going to work.
Great basic helmet
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
I've used this helmet for the entire 2018 spring/summer riding season. It fits comfortably, has plenty of ventilation, and comes at a decent price. I like that it has extra coverage, but I haven't taken any falls on it, so can't speak to it's ability to protect my head. I also like that it comes in an XL/XXL, which is hard to find with Bell, Giro, and some other leading brands.
