The perfect compromise.
You've never been one for lycra, but on XC days your baggy enduro kit just doesn't cut it — that's why fox created the Livewire Fize Short with a slim race-inspired fit. These shorts pack in a built in bib that omits any need for belts or straps at the waist, keeping the fit slick, and offers mesh uppers with two back pockets with room for a race radio and energy gel. On bottom you'll find the comfort of two different shorts — first, a PRO liner short with Fox's 4-density chamois to cushion you from harsh chatter of the trail, and ligtweight mesh that lets fresh air in while you ride. On top is a lightweight slim-cut short that leaves a bit more to the imagination than lycra, with TruDri Italian Miti fabric that pulls away sweat, and lets fresh air in through laser cut perforations in the inner thigh.

Comfortable and Light
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
There wasn’t a review when I bought these bibs, so I was skeptic. I have been surprisingly very happy with them. Super comfortable and crazy light. They are lighter than a regular pair of shorts with a bib. The holes up the short leg allows them to breath good.
Wish more companies took note!

I was really excited to find this piece from Fox, as it seems that few companies attempt this: a bib chamois with attached semi-baggy outer short. Sure, there are plenty of bib chamois out there, and I was really tempted to go with the Patagonia Endless Ride plus an over short, but now that I have this piece I can tell I'm going to love not having tight waistbands, zippers, buttons and so on. It feels very free, but with the style points of a slightly baggy kit. People who have running shorts with built-in underwear will know what I mean! I will note that I'm 6'1", 155 lbs with a 30" waist and the small fits me pretty well. The only qualm is I just start to max out the bib straps, but they're not constricting and I'm sure will stretch/conform a little. The inseam on the inner chamois portion is a bit shorter than I'm used to also, but it doesn't seem as though it will ride up too much. At first I thought I was too tall for size small, but compared to my other padded liners, the inseam is just shorter. Will likely need chamois cream on the inner thighs on longer rides, whereas before I could get by without, but that's not a deal breaker and is something a lot of others already do anyway. Would be 10/10 with a slightly longer inner chamois, 9.5/10 as-is. Overall it's an amazing bib short, quality of material is amazing and can style with either a tighter fitting road/xc jersey or a well-fitting trail jersey no problem. In fact, this could be one of very few options for the road/touring cyclist who wants to shy away from bulges and curves, without going for typically-baggier mtb gear.
