A little extra coverage would be nice

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Pads fit a little small for the biggest size available. A little more coverage down leg would be nice. Pads did stay in place which was nice and a usual problem I have with other pads. I haven't crashed so I have no review on that but overall the fit was good but could be better. I would recommend these for downhill only. I did some pedaling in them and not the most comfortable in that regard.

    Gets the job done

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got a pretty good gash on my shin from my pedals and didn't want to cancel a weekend in Moab because of it so I grabbed a pair of these. Pretty much everything you would need as far as protection, I took one good digger on my knee and didn't feel it. Relatively comfortable for pedaling, climbed Ahab with them no problems. Fit seems true to size, minimal slippage, and the velcro straps make it easy to attach them to my frame for long uphill climbs.
