Why We Like The Defend Fire Pant

When we're looking to keep riding long after the rest of the crew has thrown up their bikes for the fall we wear the Fox Defend Fire Pant. These pants are built to pack in heat, cut through wind and showers, and keep us pedaling as the temps dive.

Not comfortable, not fully fleece lined.

There is technically only fleece in part of these pants, the fleece is thin and not great quality. 100% not enough fleece to justify the price jump for the regular defend pants to the defend fire pants. The waist sits low, right where a hip pack sits. Combine that with uncomfortable top sew point and the plastic buckle makes for very uncomfortable riding and pedaling with a hip pack. The fly opening is very small which means it’s hard to get on over my hips, and I’m not at all a curvy woman, yet I have to shimmy to get these on. I went by the size guide, ordered a small, probably could have gone with an xs. I’m 5’1” and 110lbs. The length is nice for shorter women. My poc knee pads fit fine under the smalls. Material is durable.
