Luckily this jacket arrived the day before I went skiing on a surprise sunny and 50 day. I was grateful for the armpit vents, as well as the inner pocket to put my unused face mask and gloves in. It's a little roomy in the torso, which fits thicker layers for less beautiful days. The hood does fit over my helmet perfectly.

This jacket is awesome!!! I got it in the hibiscus/tawny colour and it looks great! super light weight but still super windproof! I got a large because I like my jackets to fit bigger and I love the length but it still doesn't look too frumpy. I have worn it hiking and skiing and it works great for both!! Can't wait to use it the rest of the season!!!

I am an avid skier and this jacket is the best shell on the market for women! This shell has gotten me through everything in the past three years of wearing it, down-pours in the PNW, -35 days in Montana, touring Rodger Pass, and sideways winds in Fernie, BC. And if you're anything like me you want a female ski coat that is still flattering but not too feminine. This jacket lets you have a comfortable feel, but also lets everyone around you know a cute skier chick just ripped right past them! Do yourself a huge favor and buy this coat!

Dull color
The picture makes the coat look like it's a very bright mulberry color but it's very dull so I returned it.

I got this jacket to be my primary touring shell and I have been impressed with the fit, silhouette, and I love the color! I was struggling to find a Flylow jacket than had the same black as the Foxy bibs, and this one is the winnter!

The Vixen 2.1 is exactly what I've been looking for in a ski shell - good range of movement, waterproof, breathable, and sweet eye catching colors (not a fan of black on the mountain). I wore this on a day where it snowed 6 inches and I was dry the entire time! The hood fits over my helmet with ease and does not feel awkward. The inner mesh pocket is perfect for storing my ski pass, cash, or whatever small things I may need to get to quickly. . I did not realize this shell came with wrist gaiters when I ordered it, but I am actually a big fan. They are almost seamless with the sleeves, prevent snow from going down the sleeves when I fall, and are so soft! The fit under my mittens with ease. The one con I have with this jacket is that it's just a little too long in the body. The sleeves feel fine, but I wish it was just a bit shorter in the torso. Other than that I am really pleased with this shell.

Awesome Resort or Touring Shell
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The Flylow Vixen is a really comfortable, soft, stretchy, breathable, and waterproof shell that is perfect for touring or the resort. It has all the features you could want in a jacket and fits great. I found the fit to be true to size with room to layer. The sleeves are a little longer and large in the arms, but otherwise it fits perfect. I love the extra stretch that this shell has. I wore it in a snowstorm in Park City in 28 degree temps with a Patagonia Crosstrek top underneath and was perfectly warm. I definitely recommend it. Also, when you're looking for the actual color, it is the more muted rose color, not the bright hot pink in the first photo.

This shell is everything I need it to be- Its lightweight without being wimpy, and keeps me dry and warm. I typically layer it with a Patagonia nano-puff on really cold days. I've used it as my everyday to-and-from work jacket for most of the winter now, and I've been skinning in it all season. The hood actually IS big enough to comfortably fit over a helmet, and cinches when it needs to be smaller for just your head. I'm 5'8", 130 lbs and bought the M. A small fit through the body, but the sleeves were just too short. The Medium, however, still fits great through the middle without being too roomy and the length is much more comfortable.

I really like this shell, perfect for the backcountry. I ordered a small and it fits baggy. I wanted a little room because of layering, but is a litttler longer for my short torso. Although is great for what I am using it for- heavy rain, snow, sleet to keep my inner layers dry!

I love this jacket, that I just ordered for a ski trip out west. It looks great and has a good quality. Overall, I wish it had a snow skirt (it did not say it would) and I find the jacket a bit tight over the hips but that may just be me. I ordered size L, I am 5.8 and weigh 155 lbs. The hood is big enough to fit the helmet underneath and the blue-ish color looks super cute. I am very happy with the purchase.

Well designed
I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend. It was supposed to be a backcountry shell, but she likes it so much that she has been using it in bounds too. She said it fits well, no bunching or restrictions. but it doesn't look baggy on her either. The specs are solid for a jacket at this price point. Only downside is that it doesn't have a snow skirt.

Love this jacket. Don't let the stiffness of the fabric fool you! Once you're on the slopes this thing moves like a dream. It is extremely durable to stand up to weather and trees, but it is not as stiff as the Billie Coat FlyLow jacket I tried. That one is like a coat of armor. Pros: lightweight, large hood to fit over a helmet, great 'pit zips for cooling off, gorgeous color, high zip at chin with soft interior for comfort. Cons: inner sleeve half-glove is sewn to a place for someone with shorter arms. I am tall (5'8

This jacket was ultimately exchanged for something else. It's stylish but the material is relatively stiff, and the way the wrist gators are sewn made them feel a little tight and bulky when worn with a glove. It might have been that a larger size was needed.

Just wore this for the first time, for lift-area skiing. It felt stiff going on, but once it was on, it was (almost) completely comfortable - moved with me, nice soft cuff liners, stayed down, kept me warm in the lift and summit winds. My only comfort quibble is that when I had it completely zipped up, the collar irritated my chin. Only other quibble is that the pit zips were difficult to re-zip by myself once opened. Lilac color is great - different and pleasant. Pockets are useful and well-placed. Hope to use this for the next decade - seems very well-made.

I love this jacket!! I used it last season and can't wait to take it out again. I got the Tropical Red color, which I would describe as more pink than red, but I love it. Keeps me dry, lets me breath, works well with layers (base, mid, and/or lightweight down) or alone. Allows me to move freely on the mountain and it looks great!

This is my first ski shell that I have purchased and so far I am impressed! I have never owned FlyLow gear before, but had heard great things and wanted to find a shell that I could wear over a puffy or alone on warmer days this season. I purchased this jacket with the Foxy Bibs and am stoked on both! I was a little worried about fitting a lightweight down jacket underneath a Small shell, but I have been able to layer that, a mid layer, and a base layer underneath just fine. I have worn this jacket resort skiing and touring and the pit-zips worked great for temperature control. This jacket does not have a powder skirt, but if you have bibs that is no problem!
