Sphynx Insulated Bib Pant
Because it's women-specific shell bib pant was such a hit, Flylow decided to design the Women's Spinx Bib Pant as an insulated option for the chilliest powder days. The light synthetic insulation is housed in a two-layer fabric that's waterproof to keep you dry when you're zooming through waist-deep powder, yet is also incredibly breathable so you don't soak your baselayers with sweat when things heat up. With a full bib cut to keep the snow out of your pants, six pockets for your mountain essentials, and a regular fit that lets you make unrestricted turns down pristine bowls of powder, the Sphinx offers all the features and protection you require for a full day on the snow.
- Insulated bib for cold and snowy days spent on the hill
- Stretch poly fabric encourages freedom of movement
- 2-layer membrane wicks moisture while blocking weather
- Fully taped seams help prevent water from sneaking into your layers
- Six total pockets keep your important items securely nearby
- Powder gaiters ensure snow stays out of your ski socks

These are interesting, and I wouldn’t recommend them for anyone looking for insulated bibs for strictly resort skiing, unless you’re looking to add a lighter pant to your gear for sunny spring days. I wore these to a lift-serviced resort with wool baselayers and they were fine, but I don’t get cold on my bottom half unless it’s well below zero. These are light enough and breathable enough that I’d put these into the uphill category - these will be 100% suitable for cold skins up Adirondack slides. They do run quite small. I’m 5’3”, with measurements of 34-26-30 and a small fits me, but there’s not a ton of room to spare. If you have any extra on your bottom half, size up. If skinning and backcountry travel aren’t something you do on your skis/split, I’d suggest a more traditional insulated pant.

I love these bibs! I have always preferred bibs as I get cold easily and fall often so the idea of snow in my pants was out of the question. Bought these in Mulberry color in Oct 2018 and still LOVE them. They are lightweight, warm, easy to move in, and easy to use the bathroom (and because of the side zip entry no need to worry about dropping your overall straps in the toilet!!) I am 5’6 130lb and I’m a small/medium in pants usually. I bought a size medium because I’m a bit thicker on the bottom half than the top, so seems like they run just a little small like other reviews have mentioned. The mediums fit me great. I also think you could be a bit taller and still pull these off well!

I’m about 160# and carry most of my weight in my lower half (hips/thighs/butt). These bibs fit while I was standing still, but definitely couldn’t do much more than that in them, unfortunately had to return them. Would recommend sizing up if you carry your weight in your lower half.

These bibs are not warm. It says they are insulated but if it is under 30 degrees, they do not keep me warm, even if I have two layers underneath. I would return them if I didn't already wear them for a few days.

Only reason for 4 stars is the sizing. I am usually a medium in most pants and I ignored the “runs small” reviews. DON’T. They run very small, especially for those of us who have larger quads. I have medium sized Burton bibs that I am always swimming in yet I couldn’t zip up the medium in these bibs. SIZE UP!

Gave these as a gift to my sister who does a lot of skiing both inbounds and touring in the backcountry. She says, "These bibs are my favorite ski item of 2018! They keep me perfectly warm on resort days and the vents are great for when you need to cool down a bit. They don't have the traditional drop-seat but it's easy to go to the bathroom if you just zip the side all the way and move the fabric all to the side, like a curtain! Too warm for touring but I've gotten away with it a few times. Love how they allow me to layer less on top!

Compared to a regular snow pant these bibs run pretty slim, especially in the hips and at the ankle. I have a hard time getting the leg over my boot and can't wear too many pant layers as a result. Overall though: excellent material quality, good pockets, and light insulation makes windy days on the mountain more than bearable.

I typically wear a M in my snowboard pants and was debating if that same size would be good for a bib. These fit quite slim throughout the hip area so I would have had to wear them a little higher than I found comfortable, also making them a little on the short side as I am 5'8". The material feels like butter and i was excited to give them a try. If you like a slimmer "ski" pant they may work for you, but I would recommend going a size up.

I absolutely love these. I've worn them skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and hiking and they've been perfect for all activities. They fit me perfectly, are extremely comfortable, and are very warm. I love the material and it has proven to be completely waterproof. Would love to own them in more colors!

ODD FIT...
The straps for this bib are WAY too short. Otherwise, this bib would be perfect. I love the color options and quality. I am 5â6, 110lbs, and I had the straps as loose as they could go and it was still too snug. I could feel them tightly against my back and when I take a deep breath, itâs constricting. Iâm really disappointed because I love Flylow and I have been wanting a good pair insulated bibs. Sadly, Iâll be returning these.

I'm 5'6", 125 lbs and sized up to a medium as recommended. They were comfortably roomy in the thighs (I'm a muscular girl) but way too big in the upper portion which made the booty super saggy (think droopy diaper. The insulation was cozy and I would've ordered a small for comparison (I liked the small in the Foxy bib) but the color (nightglow) really didn't work with my jacket so I didn't bother. Aside from color and fit issues, I feel like these would keep you toasty, comfy, dry, and the long side zips would be convenient for quick bathroom trips.

These bibs fit great in the legs as well as the upper but the straps were too short. Even after loosening them all the way, I felt a little restricted with the size medium. Size large had better fitting straps but were too big everywhere else so I unfortunately had to return them, Awesome to see Flylow making a insulated bib though! Just wish the fit was better

honestly was kind of skeptical with transitioning to a bib, but I absolutely love it. It's new this season so have only used it a couple of times, but I can't wait to test it out the rest of the season.
