Quantum Pro Jacket
From setting the skintrack to ripping down resort runs, the FlyLow Men's Quantum Pro Jacket is your partner in crime for touring up Teton Pass one week, then slashing Colorado powder under bluebird skies the next. A three-layer Intuitive shell and fully sealed construction keep you blissfully dry on the snowiest days of the season, with superior breathability for optimum dryness from the inside out. The nylon face resists wear and tear throughout the winter, allowing you to wear this jacket for seasons to come.
The helmet-compatible hood seals out the elements, cinching down tightly to prevent raging winds and oncoming snow from freezing your noggin. YKK waterproof zips keep moisture from seeping inside and dampening your goods stored inside conveniently placed pockets. Zippered chest pockets are accessible with a backcountry pack on, allowing for convenient access to energy snacks and must-have accessories. Also, there's a season pass pocket along the sleeve for quickly moving across lift lines without painstakingly busting out your pass after every run.

Disclaimer: The large is definitely a "freeride" fit for me. A little baggy but it's what I wanted. So, if you fit my specs (6' 170 lbs.), try it on before buying! This jacket, along with the previously owned Higgins and Albert, are bomber. Dump the pit zips for excellent ventilation. Zip them back up and pull the helmet compatible hood to feel invisible from the elements. A little more burly than the Higgins, but still packs nicely into your touring pack for the ski down. I've clipped/skimmed numerous branches on the resort and still no tears or rips. Tons of storage for all your necessary snacks, passes, lotions, etc. I can't think of any negatives for this jacket except I'm regretting the black in Sunny Nuevo Mexico!

I love the fit of the jacket and how all the pockets are set up. It worked great in warm conditions, deep cold and super deep snow in BC. It even stayed dry while sitting outside in a convective snow shower for 45minutes. Only thing I dont like is that snow can easily get in the cuffs if you wear short cuff gloves.

Sweet Jacket, But Double Check Colors

I haven't taken the new jacket out yet, but the fit is fantastic. I like the long length without being too wide. There's a great selection of pockets and I have no doubts about the waterproof abilities. One caveat. I purchased the Kombu/Kelp color to go with brownish Flylow pants I already own. Backcountry is displaying the wrong color. The correct color is more of a sage green on the bottom. You can see it in the tiny preview on the color menu, or in correct full color on the Flylow site. The color combo does work with my current pants, it's just not what was expected. Unfortunately my local shop did not stock the correct size.

Great jacket if you plan to only use it while standing underneath a firehose. For the 80% of the time when you want the freedom and breathing ability of wearing a hat or going bare headed forget it since no provision was made for stowing or better yet removing the oversize hood. As a downhill ski jacket--- do you really want that big parachute following you at 40 mph?

This jacket is as phenomenally looking as it is durable and warm. Whether I am wearing it around town, or deep in the backcountry, it gets the job done. I have also spent a fair amount of time doing cold labor in this jacket and it held up great.

I was out riding waist deep pow the other day in white out conditions. Consistent 15 mph winds combined with heavy snowfall. After a full day of this, despite the wind and the blowing snow, it was the best day of my season so far! This jacket kept me dry and the wind at bay. Plenty of pockets to store essentials, snow skirt to keep the snow out and hood that fits over a helmet. Plenty of room for layering and a burly face fabric that can withstand abrasion from branches when your shredding deep stashes between trees. Great buy!

Extremely pleased
Jacket is sharp looking, great cut and feel. Works perfectly here on the east coast as a shell over a solid base layer for those 5 degree mornings on the slopes. Runs a bit large - 5â7 165 and medium has plenty of room. Many compliments received so far on the product. Would absolutely buy again and glad I found it.

The Quantum Pro provides a mix of stylish colors with functional fit and high quality material. It's easily my favorite jacket I've ever owned. I have an XL and it seems to run a little bigger than other Flylow XL jackets.

What a fantastic Jacket. It is light enough and packable enough to through in your pack on the way up and burly enough to keep you protected from the elements on the way down. The Jacket has an awesome pocket placement that can be accessed at anytime even when wearing a pack. This 3 Layer Jacket has kept me warm in the most cod of conditions yet when it warmed up it breathes great and the pit zips are Perfect! Not only is this jacket technically amazing but it also looks killer! I would recommend this Jacket for anyone looking for a new workhorse shell to do it all.

I am 5'11, 160 lbs and I got a size Large and it fits as well as I could hope for. I split my time touring and skiing the resorts, and this jacket has a relaxed enough fit to accommodate any amount of layers underneath, but is also light enough to not feel bulky and rigid. With all the right pockets in all the right places, and staying as dry as possible during some early season touring missions I have no doubt this jacket will hold up for many, many more days to come.

I am 5'10" and 150lbs with an average build. I bought this jacket in an XL for a looser more freeride fit and it's great. My friend is 6' 200lbs with a larger build and the Large is a more trim fit that he prefers. I use this jacket mainly for skiing the resort or touring on super cold days. Most touring days I take my Flylow Lab Coat out. I really like the longer cut of the jacket length, it helps keep the cold and the snow out. For pockets, one of my favorites is the sleeve pocket, I usually throw my season pass in there, a lighter, and lip balm. I put around 60 days on it last season and it is bombproof in classic Flylow quality. The waterproof was just as good at the end of the season as it was at the start for me. If you do ever experience you're waterproofing getting worse, Nik-wax makes some great products to refresh your jacket and pants. For a bombproof shell, loaded with pockets, 20k waterproof and breathability, and a good freeride cut this jacket is great!

Got this on sale. Fit is good, looks good, nice pockets/features, and very tough. The only negatives I have are the DWR isn't as good as some high-end jackets (water doesn't bead that well) but it's never soaked through. I doubt it would be a problem outside places like the PNW. The other issue is descibed below, but the interior of the jacket it quite rough/grabby and basically vecros to your mid-layer. Not a problem for me, but it could possibly increase wear to the outside of whatever you wear under it. Great jacket for the price I paid, but the two issues mentioned would be enough to bum me out if I paid full price for it.

Do you need a new ski jacket? Do you want to look good AND be well protected from the elements? DO YOU LIKE THE COLORS THIS JACKET COMES IN? If you answered yes to any of the above, I encourage you to try the Flylow Quantum Pro Jacket. The jacket come in fresh colors so you can pick up the hunnies on the slopes, and the sturdy fabrics and zippers will keep you warm and protected from anything mother nature may throw at you. It's water proof, it's protective, and it's expensive....I guess that last part isn't great. But sometimes you have to pay a price for greatness.

Curious...

Everything about this jacket is great, except the interior seems strangely rough. I wore this with a down/synthetic mid-layer in for cold weather backcountry skiing. At the end of the second long day, I examined the mid-layer and the armpits and shoulders were completely shredded by the rough interior of the jacket. I am not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but it seems odd to me. The next question is, is this from the jacket being too rough, or the arcteryx cerium LT mid-layer fabric being too soft...

Yeah I have the same issue as this. It's like velcro almost. My mid/base layers under the jacket are usually cheap and already have pilling so it doesn't bother me. Seems like a flaw though for sure.

I've had the same issue with the Flylow Higgins jacket and the Patagonia Nano Air midlayer. The nano air face fabric was totally shredded in a number of places after about 5 ski days. I've never had this issue before. I think it is the interior texture of the Higgins (which is an awesome jacket in every other way). This is certainly a flaw, though.
