    Great backcountry jacket

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: medium
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 165lbs

Really love this jacket! Functional, comfortable, durable, and stylish. So far the e-vent material works just as well as my other Arc-teryx Gore-tex jacket and the additional pockets make it my preferred choice of the two. I've tested it with a few longer (and COLD) backcountry days and find it really comfortable with no friction points. As it's a hard shell it's not overly insulated which makes it great for long days of skinning, and paired with a down mid-layer it works great for resort days too.

    Sick Jacket!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 165lbs

I bought this for my boyfriend for the upcoming ski season. Here's his initial take: Sick jacket! Has all the features I want and no more. Lightweight but very durable fabric. The cut is a little shorter than other jackets but that being said I am 6’2” so most things run short. Large worked well for me though. Sleeves were plenty long.

    Favorite Coat

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XL
    • Height: 6'4"
    • Weight: 190lbs

I have skied in a lot of great shells in the past, but this one is definitely my favorite. From rain to colds smoke, this coat has definitely been through the wringer. I have been testing this coats durability at Crystal mountain this season and it has never let me down. I cant think of any other shell I would want to spend my ski season in.

    Bomber!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'8"
    • Weight: 150lbs

Everything that I could want in a good hardy shell is in this coat. Pockets on each side that are easy to access with gloves on, a killer fabric, and great colors. There's just nothing extra, nice and simple, very functional. I like mine a little big, hence the large size

    Dominates all conditions

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: large
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 170lbs

I've been thoroughly impressed with my Lab Coat. It's handled whatever I and Mother Nature has thrown at it. It feels good to ski in, a tribute to the fit and wind and waterproof protection. The brand holds true to the core principal of durability and function with the Lab coat. Skiing through branches, willows, climbing rocky sections and normal abuse hasn't left a damaging mark. I'm 5'9 170lbs and prefer the large for the fit and option to layer the Larry vest and Sinclair Insulated flannel . Or the Rudolph Down on cold days after topping out on an ascent. The rib pockets are deep and spacious so throwing in gloves, a can of Red Bull or extra set of goggles is no problem. Thanks Flylow! Your gear rocks!

    Looking fly in the flylow

Bought this as gift and he loves it! Originally bought a XL and it was a little snug. Worried about mobility when hiking in the backcountry. Returned and got the XXL. Buying active wear for a bigger built guy is tough, glad the XXL fit!

      Greatest Jacket Ever

      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: XL
      • Height: 5'8"
      • Weight: 215lbs

I am 5'8, 215lbs. I'm what they call "stocky". Slim fit does NOT fit me. You get the picture. Anyway, I bought a large in this jacket. The fit I prefer is more of a baggy snowboarder, yet I ski. The jacket fit ALMOST great, just a LITTLE small in the traps and chest area. So I returned it and went with an XL and I LOVE it. Super duper water proof. Hood goes over my helmet no problem. I have Flylow pants and a mid layer too, but I will review those at a later date. Flylow is the BOMB. Most ski clothing companies are made for up tight, snobby rich clean cut people. Flylow is made for the true hardcore, cliff dropping, relaxed fit wearing skiers. If that's you, then Flylow is what you should go for. Cheers!

      Greatest Jacket Ever

      Great Jacket

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Medium
      • Height: 5'10"
      • Weight: 175lbs

I have the older version of this jacket that has a full collar and a hood. I was disappointed to see they got rid of the collar on this version as that was one of my favorite features.

The fit is true to size, I bought a medium (5'10" 175#) it fits great, but on really cold days when I layer a down sweater over a fleece, it is a bit tight through the chest and shoulders. If I was going to buy again, I would probably get a large.
I like the pocket placement, and the coat has proved to be durable over the 2 years I have had it. I would recommend this coat!

      Amazing Jacket

The Lab coat is the perfect balance of breathability and protection from the elements. It’s my go-to jacket in all conditions. This is a bombproof shell carefully designed for true skiers. Another great Flylow product.

        The ultimate jacket

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: L
        • Height: 5'9"
        • Weight: 174lbs

Got this for my boyfriend and his impressions, as everyone else has stated, is that this jacket is incredible. The eVent fabric and 3L construction keeps you super dry through it's breathability and waterproofing, toss on a couple layers below it and you have the best technical shell you could ever ask for. The FlyLow crew knows how to build outerwear and it just gets better every year. He did mention he wishes it was slightly longer but that is a minor complaint on a long list of positives.

        Technical and bombproof shell

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: small
        • Height: 5'7"
        • Weight: 150lbs

Really stoked on this jacket! I used to only trust and buy gore-tex pro in the past. Good thing I finally got my head out of the box! The Flylow Event fabric is bulletproof ( already clipped a few good trees here ) breathable and waterproof. Honestly it's just as good or better than the other big name fabric for a lot less $$$.

THE ONLY JACKET you will ever NEED!

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: XL
        • Height: 6'1"
        • Weight: 185lbs

I have been skiing this Jacket for the past 3 years and it just loves the biggest days you can throw at it. It is an absolute STORM RIDER, and isn't too heavy to pack around, it is durable enough to sled in and breathes well enough to be able to just leave the coat on and charge for First TRACKS! It is my go to Jacket and have skied the best, longest, driest days of my life in it. The sizing is a little boxy, but it isn't huge. The roominess of the fit enables you to go huge and be comfy.

        Awesome Jacket!

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
        • Fit: True to size

I just got it a few weeks ago and already love it! Super light and technical fit, and great for layering under on those long days. I can already tell this will be my go to jacket this season. Great vent locations and perfect amount of pockets. I can't wait for those long winter days off of Teton pass and at the resort with this jacket!

        17/18 Lab Coat

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Just got this the other day. Highly rad redesign for this year. I have owned 3 iterations of this coat, and this one stands head and shoulders above its predecessors, which were nice pieces themselves. EVent fabric is light and bomber, and has proven itself as a top-shelf waterproof/breathable through the years, so no need to worry about waterproofness or breathability. Fit is perfect - I’m a standard sz Lg and there’s plenty of room for layers without looking like a kid in my dads coat. Kudos to Flylow for collaborating with such a great fabric brand to create the ultimate outer layer. As always it has that No frills, manly style that I have come to love year after year from Flylow. Makes me wanna skip shaving and work, and go shred POW!
