Jody Down Jacket
The Flylow Women's Jody Down Jacket blends the durability and moisture protection of a two-layer shell with warm, lofty down insulation for reliable warmth and weather protection on the coldest days on the mountains. Flylow's Intuitive membrane and fully taped seams give the jacket waterproof capabilities while still remaining highly breathable, and 600-fill goose down insulation brings the warmth without the weight. A helmet-compatible hood works to keep your face free from wind and flying snow, and waterproof zippers ensure no moisture can permeate into any of the six pockets.

I've gotta say that I really love FlyLow products. With the philosophy of KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid), they know how to engineer apparel that will hold up in the toughest conditions and look good. The Jody is a heavier weight insulated piece that keeps me super warm with just a baselayer underneath, even down to -10 in the dead of winter. As a bonus, the collar has fleece on the inside, so when the jacket is fully zipped, you have a nice, soft layer to keep your face nice and toasty. This is probably my favorite feature!
This jacket in particular seems to be really well designed, and I almost want to challenge it to see if I could destroy it in any way. I love it too much to do that though. I've take a tumble or two through some tree branches, and there's not a snag. You can tell how well it's made just by looking at it and trying it on.
With a few extra technical features for skiing (pass pocket, powder skirt, helmet-compatible insulated hood), this is one of the best ski jackets on the market for ladies who run cold. As a bonus on top of everything wonderful about this jacket, it's got a timeless look to it, so you'll wear it for years after purchasing.
