Great bibs - beware of sizing!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Fit:
- Runs small
- Size Bought
- xs
- Height
- 5` 2"
- Weight
- 110 lbs
I am a petite fit (5'2" & 110 lbs) so typically ski gear either runs too big or too small but these fit perfectly. Granted, if I were to put on 15-20 lbs, the waist line would be quite snug. I would opt for going up a size from what you are used to wearing unless you have a very small build. That said, I love these bibs! I stay very warm with them, super flexible while skiing, and you don't have to remove anything to use the bathroom which is very nice.

Very flattering & great for splitboard touring but within first 2 wears noticed little rips on my legs where I placed my phone (to be distanced from beacon) & the edges as well as lower on the leg. I have a few pair of the Burton bibs that have worn better & I prefer their double side zips rather than the flylow foxy one side. I will continue to buy those instead. Other review tips to buy big helped! I typically buy L, the XL fit like other brand Large.

Colour does not appear correctly
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

- Runs small
I ordered these in the shark colour and was so excited. Great snow pants but they look grey in the picture while they actually have a purple tinge to them. I was so disappointed cause I literally bought specific coat that I couldn’t return based on getting grey snow pants. I returned the pants and ended up getting black from elsewhere (so annoying as I would have bought a different coat if I was expecting black snow pants). As a Canadian, I ended up wasting nearly $100 in shipping and return costs because the colour is advertised incorrectly, and have to go through a long process to get my $150 of duties back. Will not be ordering from this website again as it is not accessible for Canadians at all! their free returns are for US only and their shipping was outrageous for the amount I was spending. Most US companies offer free shipping for Canadians for large orders.

Best Bib/Pant I’ve Ever Owned
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Fit:
- Runs small
- Size Bought
- Small

I purchased this bib four years ago when they first came out, and it is still my favorite layer to date. I usually take an extra small in most pants, but sized up in the small for a room mirror shell fit. Big pouch pocket in the front is perfect for my phone, handwarmers and anything else you could imagine. Backcountry, trees, waist deep snow, the bib is consistent through it all. Each time I wear them on bitter cold days, I am always so surprised that I am this warm in just a shell bottom! Highly recommend and will be getting another pair!

I spent hours hunting and trying on various bibs. The search was tiring, and I was about ready to give up until these sweet babies showed up. They checked every box I had for the perfect backcountry bib; the high tech fabric, all the pockets, leg vents on the inside and outside of each leg, the perfect fit, and the flap for going to the bathroom without having to undress in the woods awkwardly. I'm 5'7", 150lb, and I got a medium. I straddle the Small/Medium awkward middle ground and opted to go for the Medium in these, and it turned into being the perfect flattering fit. Tight enough to be flattering but loose enough to move with you.

I bought an XL, and I fit the dimensions claimed: Chest 42". Waist 35". But one dimension the size chart left out was the hip measurement. My hips are 46" and I couldn't zip the pants past my upper thighs. I wish the brand would accommodate for women's largest body parts. I wanted the bib style specifically to have an awesome pair of snow pants that wouldn't fall down. Unfortunately, I am not their target demographic: curvy and strong with big thighs and big booty.

These would probably be awesome if I could zip them up over my thighs. I would typically wear a L or XL in the hips, so I'm a bit shocked I can't even zip the XL over my leg.

size up!

These bibs are mega ultra. I'm 5'7, have a small waist and curvy hips and sizing up was for sure the move though. I wore them all last season and loved them. The fit is super flattering, the pants are durable and kept me dry in heavy snowfall and fog, and I'm free to move and go crazy in them. Not to mention they get rid of the struggle of peeing in a bib. When my pair wares out, which won't be for a long time because they are QUALITY, I'm just going to repurchase these.

I ordered the L in these mostly due to my large thighs/butt. They felt great out of the package and I was impressed by how sturdy they seemed, but when I tried them on I could barely zip them over biker shorts. Even though I did get them zipped, there's no way I could have skied in them because I couldn't move. Didn't bother sizing up because the waist/chest would be way too big if I did.

So firstly, I love these bibs, hence the 5 stars from me. But after reading some of the other reviews, I can see where some of these ladies are coming from. I'm 5'8" and 130ish and think that these fit great in a M - but they are definitely slim through the hips, so keep that in mind when ordering. I originally ordered a S based on the size chart and then exchanged for a bit more room. The length is great for my height, and I haven't experienced the bagginess in the crotch that some people have - but again, thats because this inseam works for me. I would say these definitely have a taller, slimmer fit, and may not be best for those who are curvy in the hips or need a shorter inseam. I love the chest pockets on these bibs, they're perfect for keeping my phone so it doesn't freeze up during the day, and my cash/cards so they're not at risk of falling out of an unzipped exterior pocket. Some people are referring to these as a 'shell' which is true. They are not insulated, however, the goretex fabric is plenty warm - just be sure to pair with good base layers on the really chilly days. And the reverse, goretex is not marketed as a breathable fabric, so on milder days, be sure to lighten the base layer situation. They are hands down the best for keeping you dry - several days in a row in foggy, wet snow in WA spring and I was dry as a bone underneath.

Yep- I read about these on another website that they were good for larger hips and thighs with smaller waist. Definitely NOT the case! I can always wear a large, I couldn't even get these zipped. Also- they are just a shell. I'm sure they are waterproof but will do nothing for the cold.

Good quality, not the best fit/features

I loved these bibs when I first bought them. Good movement, easy to use the bathroom, and they have a relaxed fit that is flattering. But now that I have had them a few seasons I have discovered some serious downfalls. First, the crotch is suppper low rider, which is fine if you’re just resort skiing, but a huge pain when you’re touring or throwing your leg over a snowmobile. I have the straps as short as they will go, and I’m 5’9 wearing a size Large. Second, the fabric over the belly and chest doesn’t breath very well. Whenever I tour, even on really cold days, my body temperature is great, except my belly way overheats. I have talked to several ladies with these bibs and they say the same. The belly sweat is not appealing. Third, the leg pockets are useless. They need to be about 6-8 inches higher. Anything you put in them ends up at an awkward place right above your knee. Because of all these things I will be looking for a new bib next season.

These bibs are amazing. I ordered the large, and they were a great fit. The zippers are all in the right places and they hit the right spot on the chest. Unfortunately, I returned them because I couldn't get down with the color. sadly I think flylow has a pour selection of colors.

Has a really nice shape to it. high quality features except the top pocket doesn't lay flat (for XL anyway) .. probably great for smaller sizes.. The down side is it not a lot of ability for movement in the knees or hips compared to the other 5 pairs of bibs I tried on in XL.. I had a hard time even getting the zipper up. I usually were a size 10 pants..

*seems* like a rad bib, but...
- Size Bought
- Medium

I missed out on being able to try the short inseam in these bibs (like, everywhere, not just on backcountry.) I'm 5'0", and these bibs are too "bunchy" on me from the hips down for my liking. I needed to size up to a medium to have room for layers without feeling "packed in" and also to comfortably accommodate my butt and thighs. (Which are proportionally muscular; not crazy big, not crazy curvy??) From there, there's just too much pant leg for my stature. Also, zipping them up the last few inches got cumbersome since the zip on me comes up high enough it requires some awkward wrist torque to keep tension on the zipper. But trying them on with my layers and ski gear in my living room, the bib quality and construction itself seemed on par. So I'll at least give a shout out for that. In the end, I still sent these back, and my search for short-lady bibs continues another season. I admit, my 3-star score really more reflects my feelings toward the ski gear industry in general, Flylow included, when it comes to providing bibs that fit fully formed adults my size. WE LIKE SKIING IN GREAT GEAR TOO!!

I've been looking at getting bibs for a while and heard these were sick... and they are!! I recommend sizing up if you like your pants loose and the awesome thing about these pants are that they also have short so you can size up without having them too long. I love the was they fit and the material it super high quality. They have tons of pockets for all the touring snacks and both sided air vents for those hot days!! Defo reccomend!!!!!

The Foxy bibs are hands down the best women's ski pant on the market. The 3-layer stormshell intuitive fabric moves with your body as you're touring up the skin track or charging your way down a face. They have just enough give to them but are super strong, breathable and waterproof, even after getting hammered with snow all day long. The lack of insulation on these pants make them the perfect choice for regulating temperature when charging hard all day. The high chest provides some extra warmth and I like to completely open up the thigh vents when I'm hiking. The kangaroo pocket fits my phone perfectly and keeps it warm. These pants also look awesome and I pair them with the Billie Coat to complete my kit. The sizing runs as expected/normal. I highly recommend these pants, from the hill to apres, you won't want to take them off!

These bibs were my go-to all winter last year. Light and breathable enough to tour in, I brought them on a 2 week touring trip to Norway and they were perfect! Also durable and waterproof enough for the cascade cement that I ski in on the regular at home. I like the pocket placement and size, the thigh pockets are big enough for a snack when messing around at the resort to last-minute put gloves in when it gets too hot when touring. The double zipper provides really good airflow for hiking. Also Bibs I can pee in without taking my jacket off, definitely a winner in my book.

I want to use the Foxy bib pants for ski touring/alpine skiing but have a fear that the clips will be hurting my shoulders when caring a heavy backpack. Are they designed in a way that it shouldn't be right under backpack straps?

Foxy Bib—how is the cut through the legs? More like the Donna Pant (generous) or more like Nina (slimmer)? I wear a brace for my ACL when skiing and it doesn’t fit under the Ninas... Thanks!

Hey Jana, It looks like that clip would be either directly under the backpack straps or pretty close to them. Have you checked out our new Backcountry Cottonwoods Gore-Tex Bib Pants? They have velcro straps and they even zip off if you don't want bibs. https://www.backcountry.com/backcountry-cottonwoods-gore-tex-bib-pant-womens?skid=BCC00F4-PIRBK-XS
