Tour Clutch & On-point Resort Bib

    Familiarity:I've used it several times
    Fit:True to size

I have to give it 5 stars. The "cons" are minimal. The positives outweigh the negatives for sure! Cons: - needs pant gaiter hooks - assuming the rubber elastic fails the longevity of the bomber pants - the beacon pocket needs to be a bit bigger, at least it's a tight fit for my BCA Tracker II - Shoulder bib buckles seems a bit cheap, and not being able to replace seems unreasonable for bomber-proof pants - I wish the pockets had better lining - seems like the material is cheap That being said and out of the way, I still am very happy I purchased these bibs. They are great for touring - can dump heat in seconds (4) vents, (2) for each leg / reinforced knees and inside bottom pant leg from abrasion / the bib buckles, as cheap as the seem to be are good in the quick release with the ease of a squeeze / adjustable shoulder straps / I specifically love the orange, great for visibility / bomberproof / true to fit with mobility room / heat from lower body retains well with bib style / waterproof zippers / (2) chest pouches - the one with zipper, which I put I.D. to identify and purchase them tasty brews, the other I use for my beacon and utilize the clasp to attach my bungee chord off my beacon. Overall they are bomber proof, have enough pockets to carry stuff, regulates temperature with multiple vents, style is sick, great colorways, sexy bunnies will check you out with the right strut every time. I'd buy another in a heartbeat and might have to!

Wellbuilt but a little too roomy

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I love how the top portion of these bibs fit and the pockets and how the waste tie down are great. Overall, the legs are way too wide for people touring or moving quickly in the backcountry so they really are an inbounds product in my opinion. The textured knee pads look cool but they grab a lot of snow.

Really just writing this to point out one of the biggest product design flaws I've seen to date... not exaggerating. Turns out Airlow's product designers out in Tahoe haven't yet realized that their Vietnamese counterparts elected to use extraordinarily cheap thermal-injected plastic for the pant's upper-torso clips. Of course, that wouldn't really be an issue if the clips were interchangeable...... they aren't As a matter of fact, if just 1 of these 25¢ clips breaks the entire $500 pair of pants needs to be replaced. Why? Because the bespoke clips weren't designed to open / close to enable the insertion / removal of a functioning strap. Otherwise a great job!

Amazing bib - depending on use

I have the 2018 version and ordered the 2019 version in a different color. these bibs are great in almost all ways, comfortability, durability, utility, etc. the only down side is in the leg they have opted to go even larger in width just above the knee which makes for a much baggier feel down through the ankle to the boot which works fin for the mor park rat look but if you are looking to use these for more aggressive touring with more of a mountaineering aspect the extra flair got in the way and made use of crampons more difficult, as they would some times get caught on the points when kicking in over time. otherwise great bibs get a little cold when you sit on cold chairlifts on your butt only as they are only shells might be good to add a slight layer of extra insulation there but the pocket set up is amazing configuration wise. i had a few issues with the hip pocket zippers getting caught on the fabric but otherwise . great bib. this review only has 3 stars to get peoples attention about the flare leg and fit, if you only cruise the resort they are fine but are a bit too much for me for touring in the back county. i got the large 6' 1" 185 lbs fits great everywhere but legs mentioned above

Bomb Bib, super warm, great features, durable, water proof. The sizing is horrible for Men and Women. Im 6'2" 190lbs, pretty skinny these are a little tight on me around the waist belly when layered up definitely slim around the waist. Length is perfect. My lady is in a XL in the women's version 5'5 130lbs with a butt...XL lol. Owners even admit their sizing is on the small/slim size.

I’ve been skiing for 15 years I’m 16 years old and I’ve been riding freestyle and free ride for a while and these pants stand the test from rails to deep cliffs and will keep you dry even when dumping rain I’ve had a blast since day on with these pants even when it’s hot out the feel light but also can take a pounding even with big slams they hold up just fine I would highly recommend these to anyone who enjoyed a kickass pair of pants for free ride and freestyle

    Wildfire Practicality, Equally Badass

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I used to fight wildfire in BC and wore a chest pack for my radio, gps, notebook, compass etc. This is the first high quality bib I've worn that has comparably practical chest pockets on the bib (also love the thigh pocket). Other high end brands (Arcteryx, Patagonia etc.) seem to cheap out on the amount of fabric (no chest pockets) so this was a bonus for Flylow. I bought the Large (and usually go XL for "relaxed fit") and found the fit perfect: baggy enough without being excessively wide. Lastly, the reinforced knees and heels made it sick for sledding, alder bashing or apres. I'm a diehard snowboarder and I'm converted to a "ski brand". Just sayin. All around best bib I've ever owned.

Baker bib is super durable. Used all last season sledding, touring and riding the hill and it held up to abuse. The side vents allow good breathability hiking but still warm and dry sitting on the lift. The zippers and pockets are well laid out and the beacon pouch is a nice, useful touch.

I bought these bibs last season, so I've put in about a season and a half. I ride on the east coast both in the resort/park and backcountry. I ride in a lot of trees/brush and these bibs have not been punctured or torn at all, very durable. The gators are still intact, which is very important to me. I wear my bibs with the straps a little looser to give them a little more length. They still keep their shape when I wear them like that. I love the chest pockets because they make it easy to grab any object you may have stored in them. The venting zippers are easy to unzip up and down. I recently wore them up Mt. Washington on a very warm day with the zippers down and it wasn't terrible. They wash really well using the Nikwax Tech Wash. Most of the stains came out and the bibs took to the waterproofing solution well . I also love the reinforced knees, very durable and it keeps your knees warm. They do not restrict your movement at all, so you can still tweak it out of park jumps or cliffs. Overall I love these bibs and would recommend them to anyone.

This is my first set of bibs, I have used them about 15 times. I absolutely love these bibs. I am 6'2" and wear a 34/35 waist and these are great. There are a tiny bit tight around the waist if they are too high/low but for they also have some elasticity to them that allows a decent fit.

This bad boys are amazing. I crushed some doubles in Banff in -30 and these things were the best. Very durable double layers where it counts. Wore homemade knickers underneath and survived. Plenty of pockets, flexible zippering on and off. But loose that belly for that girlish figure fit.

    Sizing Sucks

    Fit:Runs large
    Size Boughtsmall
    Height5` 10"
    Weight140 lbs

I'm 5'10 140 lbs and bought a size small. These bibs were way too big still. Very disappointed. Try on these bibs before you order them because if you're athletic and slim they may be way too big. It's strange that other reviews commented that the bib runs small. If my legs were twice as thick they'd fit comfortably inside the bib, but instead I'm stick with a ginormous pair of bibs.

High quality, reinforced in all the right areas so I’m confident I will get enough use to justify high price tag. Note they do not have insulation, which I actually like as you can add a base and mid-layer depending on conditions. Long zipper to relieve oneself quickly is so nice.

Great bib for the backcountry or the resort. Love the beacon pocket on the chest - no more need for the beacon strap/harness. Inside/outside leg vents ensure exceptional breathability on the way up. The lengthy zip on the left side makes getting these on/off easy and quick. With two front pockets, a thigh pocket, two chest pockets, and a back pocket, you have plenty of storage. The Cordura on the knees and bottoms of the pants increase the durability of the pant and prevent wear & tear. This is a shell pant so you will want to layer if you run cold or just for ease of comfort.

    stellar quality, but runs thin

These are very high quality and will last me years. There are a fe things worth noting however. The button pocket on bib is too small to fit an iPhone X. Guess I'll just use one of the other 15 pockets. The bigger concern is that the bibs run thin above the belt line. I wear a 34 waist everyday, and had to return the L because they were too small. I'm 6'1/190lbs. Had to return immediately to go for the XL. It would be a struggle to wear a fleece or wool sweater under the bib. Undoubtedly, I will be very happy with the XL however. The quality is great and is very compatible with Flylow shells.

I was really pumped to pick these up on sale, but that was short lived. I'm normally a large in all shirts and pants, I had to size up to an XL due to how tight the bib's chest was. I actually got a large as well just to check the sizing, not even close to fitting. Both sizes had incredibly large legs, I could fit both of my legs into one pant leg. They were also very short, granted I'm quite tall. Returned both and ended up going with the Klattermusen Brage pants, they're awesome I'm super glad I did.
