Vidda Pro Pants make you a Hill God!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: US 30-31
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 164lbs

These pans are tough as nails. The fit is definitely on the tighter side and as others have stated they run small in the hips and butt. Otherwise they are the perfect hill pant and I will buy again when and if these ever wear out (or if new colors come out lol)

    too long

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 30
    • Height: 5'2"
    • Weight: 120lbs

Seems like a good pant but I have a very short inseam and the regular length was way too long. Not able to hem these due to cinch strap at the bottom. Need Long, regular and short sizes.

My beard now grows twice as fast

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 30
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 135lbs

These pants are incredible! Super durable, and with a bit of wax on them, waterproof. If I had to live and die in one pair of pants, it would for sure be these. Every time I slide my legs into them, I feel the forest calling to me and an axe waiting. Chopping wood is manly, but you haven't lived until you've tried it in these pants.

    Rad Work Pant

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: EU 50
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 190lbs

I use these pants as a work pant for various house/yard projects and they are awesome. Super burly material, lots of pockets to hold stuff while your'e running around, and the adjustable snaps on the cuff help tighten them up to keep them from dragging around. Would definitely recommend these if you're looking for a heavy duty pant for working, hiking, or just walking around town like a badass.

I'm a consistent 34 waist and the 33-34/50EU fits me snug but well.

    Great bushwacking pants

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 33/34
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 190lbs

These are tough, not lightweight stretchy hiking pants. They are serious outdoor gear. Wear them hiking off trail, or cutting wood for winter. Well thought out and worth every penny.

    Great pants

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 50 (33-34)
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 183lbs

I use the Vidda pro pants for cool weather hiking and back country skiing here in Vermont. Rugged construction and the many handy pockets make them hard to beat. I like them so much I bought two pair in case they stop making them. I am a 33" waist and the size 50 fit perfectly even with long underwear.

    Great Pants if....

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These pants are great (and fit me perfect) however, if you have a non proportionate body, then you probably won’t like these.
The pants seem to be designed around athletically built proportionate non overweight individuals.

    Just didn't work for me

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 54/56
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 225lbs

I wanted to like these, and don't get me wrong, I truly do believe if you like many men don't have my particular problem that these pants will be the greatest lower body purchase you will ever make. The quality is great, but for my body type these just don't work, because my gluteus maximus is well, american sized. So with my seatpad being larger than the average Swede's these pants just were not worth the trouble, because these pants tried to make my buns look like they were in a pair of yoga pants when I put them on. I usually wear a 36 US but I tried 54 EU and 56 EU and they both had the same issue.

    Top of the line

These are probably the best pant's I have owned. I love kuhl pants but they don't really fit in the same category as these pants. These are more burly - great for work or hiking in tough environments. The pockets sit perfectly along the thigh so if you have something in them they don't bunch up around the knee when you're stepping. The material holds up really well. I do think they fit a tad small which is probably because they are a european brand - sweedish I'm pretty sure.

    Poor sizing...

I was super excited to finally get into a pair of Fjallravens as they have a great reputation of high quality, performance, and longevity. I made my purchase according to the size chart; I typically wear a 33 or 34 inch waist and I bought the 33-34 US size. These were way to small in the waist to be comfortable, but I loved how the legs fit, trim and slim, but plenty of movement. I returned those and bought the next size up, the 36 US Waist, and these were way to big, both in the waist as well as the legs. I ended up returning these as well. I am pretty bummed about it. Highly recommended to try these on before purchasing. If you can find a size run that fits, I can only imagine the performance and durability these pants can provide.

    Great Fit Right Away

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 46
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 150lbs

My first Fjallraven pant. I have not worn these trekking but love the initial fit. Super easy to wax for additional weather protection.

    Excellent hiking pants

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'9"

I have had a pair of the dark olive Vidda Pro pants since February 2018 and absolutely love them. They are comfortable, make my butt look even better and have a good amount of pockets. The fit is great and they are hard wearing.

I have worn them hiking, travelling and for day to day use. These have become my mainstay pants after using a pair of Columbia hiking pants for 14 years. The quality of the Vidda pro suggest they may last as long as that too.

I have used Greenland wax on them a couple of times which seems to help with some water repellency and wind resistance.

I'd happily buy a second pair.

    Everyday thrashers

Great pants, classic cut/style. These are built to last and I would say that they’re a little heavy for some occasions. They are more comfortable in the wild - climbing mountains or building a log cabin of some sort. Get these if you wanna connect with your inner woodsman.

      Great on the Water!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 33-34 regular

Excellent fit; pockets are convenient for storage. Very Comfortable.
These are my go-to fishing pants. i wear them when I am fishing for Tench with my friends Per and Anders.

      Look no further!

These are by far the best all-around pants I've ever owned. When I want a little extra to shed the rain I break out my little Burton snowboard iron and wax on like Mr. Miyagi! From bushcrafting to hiking and BWCA canoe trips, these pants have taken all my abuse. Suprisingly, they still look fairly new, despite being washed a million times...let's be real, Mother Nature isn't always kind to our gear. Favorite features: no back pockets and the comfort/ mobility levels are top notch. After a couple years of use, not so much as a thread has come loose. Gator lace hook is a nice bonus, too. Hats off to Fjallraven.

      Great fit, comfortable, and functional

      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: EU 50
      • Height: 6'1"
      • Weight: 175lbs

I put my new Fjallravens to the test with a 9 day backpack of Isle Royale. The fit and pockets stand out as especially noteworthy. That, and they held up to constant wear and exposure. I wore them every day and they took it all: lots of brushing against plants on narrow trails, sitting on rocks, logs, and whatever the trail dished out.

My only negative is the temperatures were warmer than expected with many days in the mid-70s and even above 80. In that weather they were too warm so I’d say they are best for below 70 degrees - at least for me.

      Great pants

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: US 33-34 /EU 50
      • Height: 5'9"

I bought these pants to upgrade my hiking wardrobe and was able to test them out on a week long trip to Iceland. I prefer men's pants and these fit perfectly for my frame (5'9" athletic build). I wore these pants the entire trip, and they weren't too stiff or too baggy, were flexible with movement, and extremely comfortable. The fabric is relatively light but protective and surprisingly warm. As the weather changes pretty quickly in Iceland, they were tested in rain, sun, 20 MPH winds, and both cold and warmer temps. I definitely plan to buy additional pairs in the future.

      WAXABLE Trekking Pant

The thing that I love most about these rugged G1000 pants is that they are fully waxable. I took them on a 4 day backpacking trip in the mountain ranges of Colorado and even through the dramatic weather changes (people living in CO know the struggle is real), these pants remained trustworthy. I waxed them up before I went knowing I would most likely run into some weather, but I am glad I brought my Greenland Wax with me up the mountain. I added another wax layer while over the campfire, and the next day was ready for the pouring rain. But when the scorching sun came out later that afternoon (told you the weather here is crazy), the pants remained breathable. BUYING AGAIN IN EVERY COLOR.

The DUSK color is a very dark color like in the photo?

Hey, It is slightly lighter in person than it is in the photo, but very similar. If you have any other questions or need assistance with an existing order or placing an order, please feel free to contact us on Chat or call us at 1-800-409-4502. Thanks!

How well would these work for climbing? Is the crotch gussetted enough to permit high-steps, and would they be comfortable under a harness?
