Sormland Tapered Trousers

The Sormland region of Sweden is a rich lowland filled with Birch forests and wetlands that is home to a variety of game—this is where the Sormland Tapered Trousers were designed. Good quality, great fit pants

For a man 5´9 height and 160 pounds, a 33-34 size runs a bit large, but this makes these pants comfortable to wear and gives them a great relaxed fit. IThey look great for city walks, but they also are very resistant. Wind resistant when waxed, they are also ok for cold weather when combined with a baselayer. Lovely

I got a pair of these for myself after giving them as a gift, and they are really nice. Not stretchy fabric but they're articulated and they don't really restrict movement too much. They feel very durable and high quality and there's some small details that make them a cut above other pants. I got the 32 size but i think it's closer to 33.

I got these guys as a gift for my brother, who sometimes has a hard time finding pants that fit well. These pants were perfect for him, he is tall and the 34 waist was the perfect length for a 6'3" guy. They do seem to run a little bit large in the waist and long in the leg (which ended up being perfect). They look great too. Theres a bit of a slim leg and a baggy thigh though, like they don't start tapering until past the knee. The g1000 silent fabric used is really comfortable and seems durable.

The fashion world is a weird one. From fashion icons like Alexander Wang to advocates & activists like Yvon Chouinard, clothing isn't just "worn" as a purely functional item. There have been recent trends in the industry that have brought the term "heritage" in front of audiences. Whether you like the style of clothing from brands like FjallRaven or Filson, they make some interesting & durable products. With that in mind, my goal in purchasing these pants was to abuse 'em the minute I got my hands on them, to see how the "FjallRaven" name stood up in the field. I zipped up the fly and tried on my size 33x32 Sormland's - hopped on the motorcycle for a trip to Moab. The material for pants is lighter than expected, yet heavy enough for the normal camping abuse. The durability of the G-1000 fabric held up to it's claim of being wind resistant. I even rode in some rain storms, and the pants kept my legs nice 'n dry during & after. Can't wait to wax 'em up to regain all the cool water repellent properties.
