The shirt was on sale. I’m a fan of Fjallraven and I really like the pattern on this. It fits great until I try to button it. It’s big enough in the shoulders and the sleeves are good, but it’s very unforgiving in the midsection if you’re not in fact slim. That said, it’s still a functional shirt in my rotation and I don’t regret buying it.

I can't speak highly enough of this brand. I buy one new flannel from them every year. I've had the Skog for two years now, and it's one hell of a shirt. It's a nice, heavy flannel, but easily soft enough to wear all day without an undershirt. The Skog is the thickest of my Fjallraven flannels, I routinely wear this shirt and no other layers down to around 45 degrees. Here's my one bit of warning, it is a slim shirt. I'm a heavier athletic build, with about a 44in chest and a 33 in waist. It is tight around my chest, but not so much much its restricting. That being said I definitely can't wear an undershirt with it. It can get tight over the bicep/tricep areas as well depending on what movements you're doing. I just try not to flail my arms around like an idiot, works for me! But with the tapering down to the waist it's a flattering shirt. On that note, if you're rocking an American pony keg belly, consider sizing up. All in all this is simply an amazing shirt, as are all of their shirts I own. Worthy of 5 stars all day long, just understand that this shirt is NOT tailored like classic American flannels are and you'll be golden!

Thanks so much for the awesome review Austin! Super stoked that your love your new flannel :)

After wearing a few times, I can say that this is probably my favorite fall/winter shirt. The flannel is soft (maybe not as soft as LL Bean), but extremely tough. The colors are well done, and there was a ton of attention to detail. The shirt has two sturdy pockets, buttons and hidden strips of fabric to keep the shirt rolled up, and the branding is very subtle (Small Fjallraven logo on the left breast pocket in a color that blends in). The fit of the shirt is on the tighter end, especially across the back fo the shoulders and in the chest. This works well for me since I have a very skinny but still somewhat muscular build (6'1", 150lbs). Just know that if you have super broad shoulders or a bit of a gut, you might want to go a size up.

Great quality shirt but the cut is a bit off. Fits slim, so if you have an athletic build I wouldn't recommend this shirt. The cut of this shirt seems to suit those with narrow shoulders and torso, but likes to hit bicep curls every day of the week. The length of the sleeves and torso are actually great, but I would have liked more room in the shoulders, tapering down to the waist.

Hey Justin, Thanks for the info! I'm sure this will help other people choose a size!

What size did you order? looking for height/weight match. I am 5'8", 155lb. I am always between an S/M making ordering clothes quite challenging.

This is a very high quality flannel. I'm between a XL and XXL with my chest size, and most of the time I can get away with wearing a XL in some regular fit flannels, but the tight nature of this flannel leaves this near and tight on my chest. The sleeves still fit my long and lanky arms well, but this flannel wont see much use outside of leaving it unbuttoned with a shirt underneath.

I've come to expect high quality products from Fjallraven and this flannel did not let me down. I bought this as a warmer flannel for the colder months and it worked great. I like the fit on it as well. You can see my height and weight listed above, I purchased a Large and it fits great! I usually wear a t-shirt under my flannels and this fit loose enough to do that comfortably but isn't too big. Fjallraven is a quality brand that I recommend to everyone. Let me know if you have any questions : )

Can you comment on the sleeve length and the length of the shirt? I'm 6'2" and ~195 lb and a lot of flannels shrink after a couple of washes and become extremely uncomfortable... sleeves get tight/short, or the back starts to not cover the top of my pants.

I bought 2 of these shirts for my husband for Christmas and he is in love with them. The L slim fit looks great on him, colors are awesome and he says it is very comfortable. Think we found a favorite brand for flannels!

All Fjallraven has a tall northern Euro fit. This is especially good for me being a taller skinny guy. I have purchased their flannel in Med and Small. The Small fits my torso (girth) and sleeve length perfectly. If I could change anything I would add another inch or two the the torso length but its is fine. When I wear this in Medium it still looks good but there is less of a slim fit feel and the sleeve length is a little long. That being said, buy this shirt! Buy their stuff when it is on sale. They usually do a 30% off every other month so you can get it for around $80. Highly recommend.

I'm usually easy to please, but this shirt was disappointing for the price point. First of all, the color from the photos (navy) is misleading - the difference between the orange/red is almost indistinguishable, and the blue is much darker, making for a more typical and less interesting buffalo check sort of look. The cotton is very thick and warm, but not that soft compared to my other flannels, and began to pill almost immediately. Additionally, while I love the slim fit, the fabric shrunk quite a bit so that it's become borderline too short. Lastly, I noticed a few areas of loose/faulty stitching right off the bat - not functional, but taken with everything else gave a sense of inferior quality.

The shirt is made of excellent material, has a flattering cut to it, looks great with everything, and holds up well in both outdoor and indoor situations. I normally have a problem where either the sleeves are too short, the torso is too short, or the cut makes it look like I'm wearing a tarp. This shirt suffers from none of those pitfalls. I couldn't recommend it enough!

Very Nice Flannel

My brother in-law recently got this and likes it a lot. It's his first piece of apparel from Fjallraven and it's very nice. It fits well, has a nice feel to it and should last a long time. He'll be wearing it on casual Friday's and on weekends. It fits true to size.

I tend to dislike buying flannels because they are huge one me. Generally I take an XL in dress shirts and I size down with Patagonia and Woolrich to a L. So reading the reviews I got my true size XL. This shirt was so slim it was ridiculous. Waiting on the XXL now so hopefully it works. I'm hoping the good looks don't sacrifice functionality because the quality is definitely there but the slim fit isn't particularly condusive to outdoorsy activities.

This is a terrific shirt. I am tall (6'0") and skinny (30inch waist) with long arms so a lot of flannel-type shirts look very baggy on me. I got a medium and it has a perfect tailored-yet-casual look, with perfect length on the sleeves. It must be the Scandinavian sizing for those lean Viking types... The material is a very heavy, yet soft, cotton. Definitely a winter shirt, as warm as any fleece, and I've even taken to wearing it like a a light jacket this fall. The construction is impeccable and I expect this shirt will be a favourite for many seasons.

I already own one of the G1000 jackets and wanted to find another Fjallraven top to add to the shelf. I've been pleasantly surprised with this shirt. You immediately feel the quality of this flannel. It's thick, well designed, and has a classy look compared to all the other flannels I own. I feel the Skog will hold up to years of use and abuse, and I'm looking forward to breaking it in now that it's officially flannel season. The fit - true to size, on the slim side, somewhat of a tailored fit

I buy men's clothes sometimes because sizing is easier and with flannels, mens tend to be thicker and warmer. This shirt is really comfortable and fit me well. It is a slim fit. I love it and wear it camping as well as running errands and the house. Love it. Great all around shirt.
