Keb Touring Trousers

It's day three of your trek in the rugged mountains and one thing is for sure, the hardwearing Fjallraven Keb Touring Trousers you're wearing are holding up better than your tired legs. The robust stretch fabric is reinforced on heavy wear areas so you can kneel, slide, ski, and hike without worrying about tearing your trousers. As the Keb Trousers are treated with PFC-free DWR, you stay weather-resistant while knowing the environment is being treated as well as you are in these pants.

With articulated legs and a gusseted crotch, these trousers will have you cruising around in rough terrain with the freedom of movement that makes your baselayer jealous. When your cruising gets a little too intense or a boot pack has you burning hot, dump some of that excess heat with side zips to keep cool and energized. All your gear is in place and easy to access with loops at your waist so you're ready for whatever the topography throws at you. If the landscape is begging for a ski tour, the leg endings with side zippers are wide enough to fit over your favorite pair of touring boots.

  • Hardwearing pant for technical trekking and backcountry tours
  • Strategic reinforcement on heavywear areas maintains stretch
  • Gear loops and brace-zones provide easy gear attachment
  • Gusseted crotch and articulated legs ensure ease of movement
  • Convenient, plentiful pockets for storing tools and snacks
  • Hip-to-knee zips dump excess heat when pushing through to ascents
  • Openings for knee pads (an accessory) for extra protection
  • Fjallraven focuses on function over fad

I've purchased several great name brand trekking pants - these are by far my favorite. They fit true to size - no bigger and no smaller. I love the rugged stretchy material and how comfy these pants are to wear. The bottom zips to a straight leg fit or the the zippers can flare open the pants a bit to fit over hiking boots. They feel strong and can withstand hardcore trekking. I might add they are very stylish. I thoroughly enjoy wearing these for some rugged travel and just to wear around town. I wear an Arcade belt with it and they go perfect together.

These are a great winter / cool weather pant. They stretch in all the right places. The material does a great job of fighting back wind and rain and the zip vents on the side are great for letting out heat on climbs. I'm a huge fan of zippered pockets so you don't lose things on hikes and these pants have no shortage of those. Fjallraven definitely has a winner in their Keb Touring Trousers.

This pants are my new favorite all around winter pants. They are warmer and heavier than a traditional shell. Most of the material (except for the reinforcements) has a nice stretch, which makes them extremely comfortable for hiking, x-country skiing and skiing in dry conditions. The bottom of the pant legs extend with a zipper to even fit over your regular ski boots. In wet/wet-snowy conditions I would prefer a traditional shell though, as these pants don't appear to be 100% waterproof.

I got these for ski touring in winter and psring. These pants are pretty dialed. The fit is great - they will actually fit over you normal alpine touring boots. Outer thigh vents dump heat super quick, especially with how breathable the softshell material already is. The butt, knees adn cuff are reinforced with their G1000 material that you can wax for added waterproofing. I rubbed the wax on then lightly ironed it on low heat and it works great. The sizing runs large. I bought a 32", my normal size and a small would probably be way better. I'm 150lbs and 5'10".
