Warm, light, and made to wander.

When you're carrying your life on your back, keeping things light is paramount; Fjallraven's Keb Loft Men's Hooded Jacket tips the scales at just over one pound, so it won't weigh you down when you're hitting the trails for a week of trekking. It also boasts G-Loft Supreme synthetic insulation, which packs down small so you have room in your pack for other essentials, and a low-profile hood flips up to keep your ears warm without getting in the way when it's hanging. Fjallraven also gave the Keb hand, chest, and internal pockets for low-profile storage when you're moving and finished the cuffs and hem with elastic binding to help keep heat in.

A jacket to thrill my baby blues with

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Size Bought:
Large (though XL slim cut fleece)

Love the jacket, especially since the hood fits great and blue fabric matches my eye color and goes over my hooded fleece Fjallraven jacket seamlessly. Thanks for the 25% off, amigo!

Amazing mid layer or casual lightweight

For the right intended use, this is my all time favorite coat. We bought 50 of them and had company logo added and gave away. This was the single best giveaway we’ve ever done. Good as a mid layer or casual mid weight coat. Pockets don’t have zippers. Fit is true. The zipper is a little goofy on all Fjallraven coats, but you get used to it.

Very thin jacket.

Just received this online, not a warm jacket at all. The plus is it looks nice but even with a hoody underneath you’ll be cold in the winter. I live in Victoria bc, the winters aren’t that cold either. I’m 5’10” 185 and the medium fits good if you don’t want baggy clothes like me.

Smart and Stylish

I was drawn to Fjallraven for their nature-driven, outdoorsy ethos. So when I was on the search for an insulated jacket, I chose the Keb Padded Hoodie. So far, it has served as a smart and stylish outer layer jacket. I sized it down for a slimmer fit and it feels amazing! It has adequate room to allow for maximum movement and for base layers and a lightweight fleece, And the slimmer fit will easily fit under a shell. It is windproof, and water-resistant - it is important to note that it is not intended for long exposure to rain - rain will bead off, but any longer than a minute, and water will penetrate the outer fabric. As a synthetic insulated jacket, it is lightweight, warm, and cozy, without the puffy look. The interior fabric is amazingly soft, and the hood, when down and zipped to the chin, feels sooo good around the neck! The double front zipper is a smart feature, and once you develop muscle memory on how to engage it, it is not an issue. Jackets of similar weight and aesthetic are Kuhl's Aktivtor, Arcteryx Atom LT, and KUIU's Kenai. Loving my Keb, and I hope to get years of performance from this smart and stylish jacket.

Keb Hoodie Wins!

Wanting an insulated, synthetic jacket, I considered a few name brand companies and decided to give Fjallraven a chance for their ethos. I considered fit, functionality, and style. Fit: a close to the body, slim look. Function: 3-season, in town/on trail versatility, lightweight, durable, cozy and warm. Style: not your trendy puffer silhouette. Between the Expedition Latt Hoodie and the Keb Padded Hoodie, I chose the Keb, in black and size XS. A few notes for potential customers: The Keb is cut larger than the Latt (the Keb in XS fits similarly to the Latt in S). The black is matte, and really a deep charcoal, which I like. The Latt has a puffier loft than the Keb, but as far as I could tell when I tried both, they are equally warm. The Keb is buttery soft inside and out, so it feels really cozy and luxurious, and though it is supposed to be durable, I will not wear it carrying firewood or trudging around in underbrush. The hood when not in use sits easily around the neck (unlike the Latt, which is stiffer). The double zipper is a smart feature, but you'll need to develop muscle memory to zip it smoothly. In the slimmer size, it still is roomy enough for a base layer and fleece mid-layer, and not so puffy to wear under an outer shell - so fit (for me) is perfect! So far, so good. Not the most expensive jacket in its class, but it is an investment, and I hope to get plenty of use out of it!

Keb Wins - Thank You, Backcountry!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Bought:
XS
Height:
5' 7"
Weight:
145

When I honed in on Fjallraven for an insulated jacket, I narrowed the search between the Expedition Latt Hoodie and the Keb Padded Hoodie. I considered several factors: fit, function, and style. First, the fit: I wanted the jacket to be more fitted around the torso and arms, yet have room for a midlayer as needed. Second, the functionality - warm, breathable, durable, and versatile. And third, the style: great in town and on trail, looking extremely capable in both environments, not looking like your typical, trendy puffer. After purchasing the Latt and the Keb in S and XS, I settled on the Keb XS as it checked off most of what I wanted. The Keb is not as thick and puffy as the Latt, but the two jackets were equally warm and cozy at 55 degrees F with a shirt underneath. The Keb in XS is closer to the Latt in S around the torso, and the sleeves are narrower - which I prefer. The Keb is a softer material than the Latt, and the hood sits and feels better around the neck when not in use. The Latt's hood, however, feels warmer. Backcountry's customer service was great, not only in offering advice between the 2 jackets, but they made returning the items easy and pleasant. I hope to make use of this jacket for may years to come!

Keb Padded Hooded Jacket

I recently purchased this jacket it does fit nicely and keeps you warm. There is something that buyers need to know about the Keb Jacket is that the material stains easily and it doesn?t wash out. I purchased the chestnut color jacket and want to dinner and wasn?t aware that l had sauce on my hand when l reached for my phone. The jacket got stained and l was unable to clean it.

Paper thin - No insulation

Returned jacket because it was literally made of nothing. Extremely small amount of insulation throughout jacket, next to nothing in between the paper thin inner and outer shell. Questionable craftsmanship in my opinion from a company that touts their products as being made for “lifelong relationships” and the “outdoors”. This jackets isn’t worth 1/3 of what they charge for it

Good, but not great

Sigh.... so here is the run down. I bought this jacket without knowing the cost, offerings, or really anything else about other insulated jackets. This is a good jacket, but as I’ve look around about a year after buying this jacket (I was shopping for a down jacket for lighter warmth, not a replacement to this jacket) I realized that other more performance oriented brands offer more practical jackets for the same, or less amounts of money. With that being said, I still love this jacket and here are my thoughts: 1) it’s built right. I have used this jacket through two seasons and it looks fells and preforms like it’s brand new. I see myself using it many years down the line. Durability is definitely good 2) I am very annoyed by the omission of zippered hand warmer pockets. Stuff has fallen out of them more than once. The zipper chest pocket helps make up for this a bit but still left something to be desired. 3) this jackets warmth perfect hits what I would call middle weight. Nice as a mid-layer in the winter (when down isn’t practical) and a stand alone in both fall and spring. 4) the looks are next level. This jacket nails style and then some. Have gotten countless comments 5) hood is cozy and adjustable 6) I haven’t used it for much aerobic activities so I can’t comment on how it breaths for that. For day to day use I would rate it at a solid -a. My conclusion: if you want some urban mid-weight warmth that looks amazing, can also hold its own doing light activities (hiking, walking, maybe some more prolonged trekking), will last a long time if treated right, and don’t care about all out technical performance then this might be for you.
