Another great pant from fjallraven
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
- Size Bought: 38
- Height: 6'3"
- Weight: 220lbs
I got these for my dad and here is what he has to say about them: "Solid, durable, comfortable, and good-looking pair of pants. This is my second pair of FR pants, and I like that they’ve left the hem of the Karl Pant with the raw finish to be custom fit in length. Piece of cake to measure, iron, cut, fold, and sew."
Great looking pants + comfortable
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: Runs small
Great looking pair + practical / fabric light enough for summer use. I used these as my all around hiking/ backpacking pair for a few years. Have put them through the wringer as the only pant on long distance trips. Fabric gave through on a fall a few years ago on the Camino; hit the asphalt and expectedly tore a bit at the knee as one would expect. I just ended up putting a small Camino shell patch on it to remember to pay more attention and remind me of my stupidity. They run a little small at the waist but with a few good uses the fabric broke in a bit to fit perfectly. I love the look of these pants. I I have to say that also took me a while as they run a little baggier than expected (like a full on cargo pant at first). I've hiked in Scandinavia and have stopped in at the Fjallraven shops, where one can go in and try the different models- this is ideal with this company. However, paying in Krona will set you back a few months. I like them so much I've decided to order the Sormland tapered for everyday use and the Barents Pro "pant" ("Jean" on Fjallraven website) to give them a whirl around the trail. The style and design of these clothes are just solid- not too flashy, classic earth tone colors w/ contemporary flare. Pockets are practical and pants almost look like tactical wear. Side pocket can fit way more than you need. Love them - very durable and recommend them highly.
