Great for audio gear

I was looking for a more low profile way to safely carry my mobile audio gear with me without PFAS or PVC coatings. This worked out even better than expected. The movable padding allowed me to carry and protect larger headphones, microphones, interface, hard drives, etc. Paired with the 15” laptop bag it’s perfect.

Superb Build Quality with Limitations

First off I'll speak about the build quality. It is fantastic. The shell is well padded with good stitching on the interior. I was most impressed with the rigidity of the dividers. You receive 6 in total; 2 long, 2 medium, and 2 small. They do not correspond perfectly to the stitched grid, but they are very solid. Any photographer that has experienced cheap stitching and flimsy dividers will appreciate the level of quality offered in this package. In terms of volume, I was able to fit my large mirrorless body along with an equivalent 70-200mm F2.8, a 35mm F1.4, 50mm F1.4, flash, charger, cables, and battery. It was a comfortable fit, not too crowded with a decent layout. Here are the limitations. The insert on it's own functions as intended; however, when used in tandem with a Kanken No. 2 Laptop there are certain issues that arise. Firstly, due to the design of the Kanken's front flap you will not be able to open the insert fully. Some users may find this limits their ability to access their equipment. Secondly, if you're planning on using this bag out in the field, bear in mind it is very slow. You will need to fully unzip the front of the bag and then unzip the insert to access your equipment. I personally will be using this as my studio bag, as I will have the luxury to completely remove the insert and keep it fully open as I work. If your workflow enables you to work in this manner I'd highly recommend both the Kanken No. 2 and the camera insert. Travelling discreetly with expensive equipment is the strongest aspect of this combo and it is why I purchased it. Overall, I'd recommend this product!

This is a great photo insert, durable on the outside and easy to adjust compartments on the inside. I use several different combinations depending on the trip and this has accommodated all the different combinations I have needed. I also think there is an added aspect of security as this does not look like a typical camera case. on a side note this has also been a great option for a bottle of wind and glasses :)

Great buy

Bought this as a gift for my partner who is a photographer. He loves it - especially the full open zip and the fact that it fits cleanly in his FR backpack. Would buy again for sure.
