Awesome backpack!!!
Absolutely love it!! I’ve had this backpack for a while now, and it looks so much cooler over time. I definitely see this backpack lasting me a long time, so it’s worth the money if you’re hesitant.

Suprsingly large
Like all kanken bags it is able to hold alot more than would seem, and the improved materials aswell as the leather are a very nice addition

Worth it!
I have a mini kanken that I absolutely love and for my final year of college I treated myself to this and so worth it. I have a big laptop - an almost 16 inch Lenovo thinkpad with a extra larger battery - and it fits with some room to spare. I can also fit my notebook, laptop charger, lunch and whatever else I can think of, very roomy! It’s definitely more sophisticated than the regular kanken and it is absolutely gorgeous. I got the dusk colour. I am very happy with my purchase!

Great Travel Bag
I purchased this back pack for my carry on travel back pack. I've been using this backpack for overnight trips and it is SO comfortable even fully loaded. It is also very convienient that it is water resistant. I love how far open the main compartment opens, that is a nice feature. I think the leather handles and logo patch really make the bag look trendy. I also love the extra laptop compart. It fits my ipad and magic keyboard and Sony noise canceling headphones all in the back pocket. I removed the seat cushion for a little extra space. This was a great purchase that I hope to have for many years to come. I also purchased a bottle holder to make it more convenient while traveling and provide a little extra space.

My All Time Favorite Backpack
I'm a 6'3 man who's been active in in the outdoors since I was a child. A little over 3 years ago, my girlfriend purchased this for me as a gift and I've been using it quite literally every day since. I use this for everything: from everyday carry, to hiking, camping, hauling photography equipment, ect. (it may not be the "best" choice for an outdoors pack, but it's more than versatile and sturdy enough for that purpose). I'd also advise purchasing the "laptop" version of this over the regular variants due to the extra pocket space in the rear near the straps. Throughout all its usage, the bag's heavy canvas construction looks just a new as the day I received it. I'd recommend waxing this particular Kanken to keep it looking fresh; I typically apply 3-4 heavy coats annually since it's used outside quite a lot, giving a little extra love to the stitching and seamlines. The bag is also very comfortable for extended periods of time, though heavier folks may want to look elsewhere. Because of the compact design, the straps tended to chafe my lower back roll (my "muffin top" if you will) when I gained more than a few lbs during the pandemic. For reference, I went from 250lbs to my more normal 230 and the chafing has stopped, but your mileage may vary. To conclude, I can't recommend this bag enough! I've used it for so long and for so often, that I've developed a personal attachment to the little guy. In the meantime, I'll be resisting the urge to be wasteful by purchasing additional bags, which is why I was on this site to begin with before I got sidetracked by this review... Well done, Fjallraven, very well done indeed. 20/10

Doesn't fit most waterbottles
It's durable, but not practical. Purchased for my daughter to use at college. Fits the laptop perfectly. Great! But water bottles? Forget it. We can stuff... and I mean STUFF... a standard size 21 oz Hydro Flask in it but it's VERY difficult. Causes frustration. But any wider??? No way. Not gonna happen. Tried to fit the Camalbak water bottle but it's made of plastic and we could not get it to slide in no matter how hard we tried. So only metal bottles have any chance of getting in that small side pocket. Definitely durable to hold books. But not very many. It looks cool. But functionality is not its fine point. For the price you should get a whole lot more. Very disappointed.

Beautiful Kanken Backpack!
I love this backpack because the leather trip and G-1000 fabric give it a more mature style. The I really like that the laptop compartment is not inside the main compartment, but is an additional compartment on the back of the backpack. It is generously padded with a zipper that extends down the sides to give you a wider opening to get your laptop in and out. Love the G-1000 heavy duty fabric as well, because it is waxable, making it water resistant and more durable. All in all, a stylish and functional backpack.

Great or college!
I used this bag all throughout college, more comfortable than my Northface bag! As an English major I carry a lot of books and this held up so well! Love it!
