Fjallraven Kaipak 38L Backpack

Kaipak 38L Backpack

Using the mountainous fjords of Sweden as both its inspiration and testing grounds, Fjallraven designs all of its packs with durability in mind, and the Kaipak 38 Backpack is no exception. Made with Fjallraven's burly G-1000 Heavy Duty Eco fabric, the Kaipak is made with a combination of recycled polyester and organic cotton fibers. The pack implements a ruggedly simple design with an adjustable top lid, top load design, and a single zippered pocket along the front of the pack. The sides of the pack are equipped with two stretch mesh pockets for water bottles, while two zippered hip belt pockets keep any snacks and navigation tools close at hand. The main compartment is large enough to carry gear for either big day hikes, or light and fast overnight backpacking trips. Side compression straps and gear loops for either trekking poles or ice axes keep gear secure.

So excited to use it!

I am so excited to use this pack. I have tested it just a little bit. The fit is great. I have the larger 75L Kaika and have been a big fan of it. The same great comfort in the shoulder and waist straps exists for the Kaipak. I intend to use it for daypacking into bear country for fishing etc. it is great for an extended day hike, where are you need extra gear for variable weather conditions. I love the fact that it comes with the rain shell as well.

Best 4-Season Pack!

I've put it through the wringer

I'm about 5'6" - 5'7", 162 lbs & a 17.5-18" torso. I'd say the torso size for this is easily a 17"-22". The pack felt perfect. Shoulder straps are incredibly comfortable and wrap perfectly. The hip belt is very padded and supportive with no folding or bending, so the transfer of weight to the hips is amazing. The HD material is definitely bomb-proof and looks like it's going to outlast me. The more you wear this thing, the better it feels and the better it looks!

Hi, seeing that your post is over a year old now would you still recommend it? I’ve been eyeing this bag for a while now
