I haven't had the chance to take them on a hike but after wearing them around the house for a little bit, I'm happy with my purchase. My waist is about 26.5" which from the size chart, would indicate I should've purchased the EU 36 but I went ahead and purchased EU 38 because the reviews said the shorts ran small. The fit is how I like it and with given the drawstring at the waist, I can cinch them up a little to be snug. I'm actually pretty satisfied with the somewhat higher rise on these as well. I have a lot of shorts that sit more around the hips and I think I'll be wearing these more. Just wish there were more colors! I bought the grey ones... not sure if I want navy.

As a female who isn't toothpick skinny with larger volume thighs, it's really, REALLY hard to find shorts that fit my thighs and waist. These not only fit, but are slightly loose, which is heaven! The other feature I really like about the shorts? The POCKETS! These pockets actually function as pockets and can even hold a phone no problem. The only thing I am not the biggest fan of is how high they sit, but I'll take it if they fit my thighs!

These shorts are the best for hiking, they are a little longer than your classic running short and are extremely stretchy, breathable and durable. Perfect for a hot day on the trail. I did size up just because I like to have a little more leg room, my thighs are a bit bigger than average.
