I have a pair of the regular Greenland trousers. I use them for general work wear. However, I don't use them for my forestry field work because the fabric is too stiff for traversing steep terrain. This stretch version has a different cut and features, plus the stretch fabric. These are very comfortable with a nice leg taper and rear snap pockets to keep your wallet and other contents secure. I normally wear a 36-inch or 34-inch waist pant. I initially bought these in size 50 (33-34 inch waist), regular length, and find them a little short (I'm 6' 1" tall) and large in the waist. This is fine for field work. However, I just purchased a size 48 (32-inch waist) in long length. These are perfect. So be aware that they do run a bit large in the waist.
