Whether you layer for all-around weather protection, or wear it on its own when temperatures are more mild, the Greenland Down Liner Jacket does it all to help you stay cozy and warm. The ethically-produced 600-fill down keeps you comfortable as a midlayer on frigid mountain excursions or toasty during winter commutes to work, and the DWR treatment ensures that on those commutes, you'll stay dry in some light precipitation. The soft jersey inside the sleeve cuffs makes for a plush fit and feel, while the drawcord at the hem secures a customized level of protection. If used as a standalone, no need to worry that you look like you forgot your shell—the simple, durable design is constructed with clear reference to the Fjallraven Greenland family that dates back to the 1960s.

I really wanted to love this jacket- the style, color, and quality are all exceptional. The color was a beautiful blue-grey, subtle and neutral without being boring grey or black. The weight was good, and it seemed like it would be a nice warm jacket for all but the coldest days. The sizing seemed true, I'm a pretty solid medium according to the size chart and all my other fjallraven tops. However, I have an average/athletic build with swimmer's shoulders, and I frequently have trouble with jackets not giving me enough room in the shoulders, and this was no different. I ordered a large as well, just to see if maybe that would work better, and indeed it gave me enough room in the shoulders, but it lost the nice slightly fitted look through the rest of the torso and just kind of hung on me looking boxy and shapeless. I also have a short torso, and at 5'6, the medium was the right length or even a little shorter than I wanted, so taller women might find that it hits closer to the waist than the top of the hip. The sleeve length was great, though, and there was room for a light layer or two underneath, but probably not a bulky sweater. Ultimately I sent it back, but not without trying really hard to convince myself that the slight tightness in the shoulders would be ok.
