Fjallglim Flannel Shirt

While the only stacking of wood you'll be doing will entail layering meat-cabobs atop the grill, the Fjallraven Men's Fjallglim Flannel Shirt certainly doesn't know the difference, nor does it the discriminate against your choice in chores. Moreover, this button-down features a classic, plaid construction that offers dependable warmth, while the soft lining pulls moisture away from your skin—which is awfully convenient when you're sweating bullets over the grill. Not to mention, those two chest pockets keep necessities like your mustache comb or forehead hanky close at hand.

  • A lightweight, insulated flannel for cool weather
  • Soft polyester exterior is quick-drying
  • Cozy lining assures low-profile warmth
  • Chest pockets keep your mustache comb close at hand
  • Item #FJR00B1

Ravin' About Fjallraven (Again)

Everything I have tried from these guys is top notch. I guess you pay for it, but if you want high quality, good fit, winter wear you cant go wrong with Fjallraven. This particular shirt is about as thick as your traditional flannel, but the 100% polyester weave is TIGHT so it feels like a higher quality garment. Its not QUITE as comfortable as cotton, but it might soften up with wear and hopefully will not shrink in the wash. I really love the solid color detail on the inside of the collar and it continues down the button side of the shirt. Also, fit is a tad bigger than the other Fjallraven button ups I own. Not so much that I needed to size down, its just a larger cut overall. My only wish is that it had a little stretch and I could find the Deep Red color in my size.

Yes, this flannel might take the place of #1 in my closet over all the Prana ones I have. The fit and style are beautifully done and I love it. It feels heavy but also breathes well. The map pocket is really cool and just all around colour and style is on point. I will be purchasing more for sure.

A somewhat athletic male. Ordered a medium after reading that these particular shirts run large and once the holidays are past and all the feasting is done these flannels should fit perfectly. :) Great quality and the additional pocket over the left breast is a great addition. I toss my bi-fold wallet in there since it's ultra thin and it works nicely if accompanied with a vest. Lite enough that you will not turn into a ball of fire if temps rise but also warm enough that you will not immediately start shivering when temps drop. The weight of fabric also ensures that the shirt layers well. It has an athletic cut which I like and the shirt is pretty rigid for a flannel which I also like. The fabric doesn't sit on you like a pair of bed sheets. I do notice the shirt can be a little snug in the arms (bicep/tricep) area if you are of the athletic variety but you only really experience a binding in this area if you are purposely moving into weird positions and angles and this binding is minimized if you roll the sleeves up.. Really glad backcountry carries this brand. In Sweden it's easy to walk into any nature company store and find a majority of Fjallraven products but in the US it's not that easy so it's nice to have backcountry filling that void.

I have some lightweight Fjall hoodies and I went with a size medium but was happy I got this button up in a size small- great arm and waist length- a little snug in the shoulders & chest but that is because I fit best in a medium going off of the size chart. Not a super thick flannel so it wont be too hot in warmer temps but will definitely help out in colder temps. I really like this shirt so much I'm contemplating getting another!

The Fjallglim is my favorite product from Fjallraven. Just be careful with the sizing! It runs large, so if you ordinarily wear size L, consider M. The Fjallraven site has an interactive sizing chart that is worth checking out, too, if you're still unsure.

This shirt just feels like it will last for years. I have an athletic/ muscular build. It isn't cheap but I'll pay more for quality. It isn't too thick or thin and probably would be best for milder winter temps. If layered correctly you could pull it off in colder temperatures. This is probably my favorite brand/ company right now.
