All round winner
This is my go to jacket for literally cool summer nights and insulated midlayer during a snowboarding blizzard day. Super breathable and fries fast, water resistant and kept me warm despite getting wet when I didn’t have my shell handy. You’ll find yourself reaching for this jacket going to dinner and going to a 14er.

My daily driver for almost 2 years
First, this is the jacket I've worn on nearly every cool/cold day for two years from Northern Canada to Mexico so it's very versatile and I consider this a true mid layer or an outer layer in late fall / early spring. It's not overly warm and I would say about equivalent to most fleece hoodies but with some wind blocking. I feel it's sweet spot is about +10 to 0C (for anything colder you'd want a merino or similar layer unless moderately active) It really depends on the activity though. I run quite hot but I find when walking that it's only good to about freezing and that I need a good base layer or mid layer under it once it's below freezing. When I'm on a run, it's comfortably cool at -10C. Beyond that, I need more insulation, adding a shell maybe takes it to -15C. Overall, it's been to mountain tops, paddleboarding on blustery West Coast of Canada SUPs, and cool days in the Yucatan.

I bought this jacket and wore it all winter. I live in Colorado and it was the perfect weight for both urban and outdoor adventures. As a stand-alone piece, I was very happy with it. One of my buddies was telling me that this jacket can pair with wither the Bergtagen Eco-Shell or the G1000 shell. I bought the G1000 Bergtagen and it was the perfect combo for sure. I geeked out and waxed the shell on the hood and the shoulders and that provided enough waterproof protection for the whole winter. I am glad I ended up with both.
