Decent but only 3 stars b/c itchy tags

    Fit:True to size
    Size BoughtL
    Height5` 8"
    Weight162 lbs

Had 'em a week so far. I'd give it 5 stars in terms of nice construction, apparent durabilty and breatheability. But absolutely must knock down to 3 stars because of ill-advised cluster of FOUR garment tags on left seam in upper buttock area that are itching and annoying me like crazy as I write this. For this price point, I'd expect better design.

Perfect for purpose but sizing off

Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
    Fit:Runs small

I purchased these to wear under my waders for fly fishing. Needed something breathable and skin tight. They were perfect for that. comfortable, breathable, and just the right amount of pockets. Length was just right also. But my problem came in the waist measurement. Ordered a large which matched my waist on the tight side. Didn't expect that when they came and I tried to button them I would have a 3-4 inch gap in the front. Low rise also made them cut into my hip bones. Wish I could have exchanged them for a a XL at the sale price, would have done that in a heart beat. I should have heeded other reviewers that mentioned that they run small. No complaints otherwise. They are now on their way back to Backcountry. Glad they have have an easy and efficient return policy Would have rated a 5 if the sizing was on Edit-I have a 36" waist, thought that may help others

I’ll second these comments. I love these “pants” but a medium, which should work for me (5’10”, 165lbs) was completely unbutton-able. Large fits well.

    New Approach to Outdoor Apparel

Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've been through my fair share of your run of the mill poly blend hiking pants, and if you're a minimalist like me and don't like having any extra loose hanging fabrics while you're out romping through forest streams or hiking narrow slot canyons. The Abisko Trekking tights do such an awesome job in so many different situations that it's hard to say I have been more content with a pair of bottoms than these. It's true, the sizing is fairly hard to get right, but if it works I highly recommend them. I generally wear a 31/32 in waist and the mediums fit tight. For me, it's not unreasonably so but can definitely see how it would be for others. The quick drying nature of the fabric and the high breathability coupled with the key tech designs in the reinforced knees and seat make these tights a must for anyone who likes to shave weight and focuses on distance covered.

    Great product, sizing WAAAAY off

Sad to say I was unable to experience this product. I am 5 11, with a 31" waist, and purchased a men's medium. It wasn't even close. I would have had to go up two sizes to get the right fit, and unfortunately, it wasn't in stock. Had to return them.

    Looks good

I’m a big fan of Fjallraven products and this is no different. Quality and fabric is top notch. They are tights, don’t think otherwise, but the stitching and elastic/stretch fabric gives it some style and outdoorsy look. I normally wear a L (210 lbs), but for these tights it was an XL for me.

built tough & pretty darn smart

I'm a distance runner, and I've never been a fan of running tights. Mainly because of the fit and the awkward look... I'm a pretty thin guy. These 'tights' however fit differently, more like sturdy slim fitting pants. The seams and knee/butt material are bulletproof. Walking through thistle, or other kinds of thick spiny underbrush on the trail is a non-issue. they protect as much or better than other hiking pants I own. great pockets and zippers. definitely recommend trying these out. I originally ordered a small but the waist was too tight, medium was perfect. I'm usually size 29-31 waist in other brands.

Killer Review James! Thanks for taking the time to throw your experience out to the community, its really appreciated!

Trekking tights! The next big thing!

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

At first I was a bit apprehensive towards a pair of "trekking tights". After one use, I'm absolutely sold. These bad boys are packed full of tech: reinforced knees, reinforced seat, 3 zippered pockets, and 1 thigh pocket. They breath well and the pockets are constructed with mesh which functions as a heat dump. These fit true to size, SLIGHTLY on the smaller side.

Very surprised that a small fit you at 160lbs. I guess we’re all built differently. I definitely suggest a size up.

What is the inseam length of a size medium?

Hey Nathan, the inseam would be a 32
