    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 45

So stoked I go these. They have been on constant rotation since receipt. The fit is relaxed enough to not look like I am trying too hard, but slim enough to look sharp. Hike, work, sit, drive, whatever, these are great. Zip closures on pockets are a nice touch to keep things safe. fit is dialed for Fjallraven, I wear a 48cm/ and am a normal 32 in everything. Fit perfectly.

I really enjoy these shorts. I had originally purchased for use in warmer hiking/camping situations. However, this past weekend, in a fix, I had to use them for two long days of canyoneering. While fully expecting these to be shredded after all of the slot grinding, they held up remarkably well. The material is surprisingly durable given its lightweight characteristics. Highly recommend.

I bought the Euro 44/US 29 size. They run slightly large relative to a typical 29 waist.

    New Favs!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 33-34
    • Height: 6'0"

These shorts are great! They are comfortable while maintaining a very strong face fabric. They are awesome to hike in, boulder climbing, travel around town, and just an overall really awesome short. Trails to cocktails, this is a new fav!
I generally wear a 33 waist pant, I can get in a 32 but find I like the little extra comfort. The 32 is a little bit more snug then what I would like of a traditional 32. I decided to go with the 33-34's. Though they do work very well, I can't wear them without a belt. Not the end of the world but something to consider if you are between a 32 and 33 waist.

    exceptional quality and comfort!

I have had great luck with Fjallraven over the last few years and these shorts are no exception. They are comfortable, with enough stretch to climb, hike, or relax in comfort. They seem very durable so far and the fabric feels, hangs and fits like the high quality product it is. They hit me right above the knees which is just short enough for my taste.

    Best travel shorts

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 50
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 190lbs

My title is a bit limiting as these are actually my favorite shorts of all time. Though it was on a long vacation that I fell in love with them. I travelled for two weeks with limited access to laundry and when I could wash there was rarely a dryer. Though I packed several shorts these were always the go to. They had a enough stretch to hike and be active in but a clean enough look that if you paired with a nicer shirt you could pull of a decent restaurant. Fabric stayed clean, easily shed dirt never looked wrinkled. I am somewhat surprised that so many who reviewed said they ran big. I typically wear a 34 and the size 50 (33-34) was a great fit.

    Awesome Lightweight Shorts

Love these. Very minimal and unrestrictive. Lightweight material is great for hiking during the summer!

    Second buy

    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 170lbs

Coming back for more! This is the second pair I bought. I wear them daily. Thin and light and the fit is AWESOME. I wear swimming, hiking, around everyday. Definitely my favorite shorts.

    Thing legs

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 33/34
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 200lbs

Fjallraven hit the nail on the head with everything except the thighs. Granted I don't have the skinniest legs out there, but for a 33/34 waist they are just a bit snug on the legs. However, I will say that most paints and shorts we carry that are perfect for my waist are a little tight in the thighs. Still love them though and great fit.

    Great Summer Shorts

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 32
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 180lbs

Runs large, I am a 33-34 and the 32 fits great! 6'2" and they come just above my knee.

Thin, light, and stretchy. No DWR so they will soak up water if they get wet but vary quick drying. I use them to wet wade fish on ware days. Best use is climbing, zipper side and rear pocks to keep thing from falling on your belayers head. Gusseted crouch and vary stretchy. Highly recommended.

overall construction and cut lack the dynamism of arc'teryx - kinda old school cut. durable fabric. rich colours. sadly too big. seems my body is in transition from 32->30in - but this does seem like a big 32.
oh and the belt loop are a different colour in the dark olive - not clear from web image
