Comfy and grippy!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I originally bought these shoes for a 6 month trip to South America. I purposefully bought a larger size than what I normally wear, because I knew I was going to be climbing in cold weather and needed to be able to wear socks with my shoes. They did awesome during my trip. I used them on several multi pitch routes (9-10 pitches) and they were perfect for comfort and grip on granite faces. They are now my go to shoe for crack climbing at home. I just spent two weekends in Indian Creek and they were AWESOME for down there, nice and comfy even when I was jamming and twisting my feet into all sizes of cracks.

I'm 5'3" and 110 pounds. For more aggressive shoes I wear a 36 but since I wanted some room for comfort I bought the Sirens in a 37. I use them in the gym every once in a while but they aren't the best for that, not aggressive enough.

These shoes will satisfy any beginner or anyone looking to really jam their feet into some cracks!

Solid, Comfortable Shoe

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these shoes after enduring a whole summer of climbing on various terrain with the la sportiva solutions (which I LOVE) but they were pretty painful on longer and/or slabby routes. I bought these to be my comfortable multipitch/slab shoes and they are great for that purpose. For bouldering/gym climbing they are not the best, they have fairly good edging on small nubbins and such, but I would not recommend them for any overhang. I sized down a full size and they fit tight but not uncomfortable by any means. They get a little slimy and sweaty I think because they're synthetic despite their advertised "breathable mesh upper". Overall a good shoe for beginners or comfort shoes.

Laced up!

This is the second pair of shoes that I've had since I started climbing. A step up from my looser fitting shoes that I started with. I have a wide foot and these have broken in nicely. The one complaint I would have is that the synthetic shoes get smelly. Great shoes for a beginner, but definitely not super aggressive.
