    Make every beat count.

The Fit Bit Charge 2 HR Fitness Watch tracks every aspect of your active lifestyle, continuously measuring fitness sessions and daily activities. Like its predecessor, you'll find interchangeable bands for low-profile comfort and easy cleaning after sweaty workouts. The larger OLED display allows for tap navigation, allowing you to scroll through sub-menus with ease. Improved battery life lasts up to five days, depending on the activity settings used. Wireless syncing works harmoniously with Fit Bit's smartphone app, giving you in-depth analytical data of your workouts and daily activity.

PurePulse technology measures changes in blood flow with a pulsing LED along the underside of the watch, translating these metrics into your beats per minute. Continuous heart rate tracking delivers a better picture of your personalized health with simplified heart rate zones providing indicators to dial fitness back or bump it up a notch. The Cardio Fitness Score (similar to estimated VO2 max) tests your cardio ability against cohorts in your age range, allowing you to visualize progress in your running performance over time. Another cool feature is the Connected GPS capability, which provides real-time running stats like pace and distance directly to your wrist, with a map of your route for post-workout viewing.

Smartphone alerts deliver call, text message, and calendar notifications directly to your wrist, so you can stow your phone within a pack or back pocket. Another new feature is Guided Breathing, which measures your heart rate for personalized relaxation with deep breathing exercise. The FitBit Charge 2 is compatible with both iOS and Android devices, alongside Mac and Windows computers with the provided wireless dongle. Also, it comes with a charging cable for powering it from your computer or USB wall charger.

    Wears it all the time

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Bought this fit bit for my daughter. She’s 10. She wears it all the time and loves seeing how many steps she was getting. I even noticed her trying to get more if the number isn't as high as she wants. Really appreciate how it encourages her to be active. Great features on the app... she’s super happy.

Heart rate + basic smart watch functions

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is a great heart rate and activity tracker. It's affordable and has a lot of advanced health features (like automatic activity tracking, where you can just start running or biking and it'll figure it out) as well as smart watch features (like text notifications).
I'm an average sized 5'5" woman and it's not too clunky on my wrist. There are a ton of other band options (including non-Fitbit branded) but I just kept the standard one.
I sleep with it without being annoyed (and I've hated watches my whole life). The sleep tracking is really interesting, it breaks it into REM, deep sleep, light sleep, and awake time based on your movements and heart rate. I am awake way more than expected at night (or maybe the cats are just moving the bed a lot?) and have benefited from more time in bed in order to get my daily sleep total up.
Battery life is still excellent at 4-7 days after a few years of use. The charger is annoyingly careful not to break it by shoving it into a backpack or leaving it on the floor.
Water resistance is great and I sweat like crazy. You can use it in the shower, running in the rain, and while kayaking, just do not swim with it.
Note that this does not have its own GPS but if it is paired to your phone it can use your phone's GPS. This makes it possible to get more detailed tracking information (like pace, cardiovascular fitness, etc.).
It can be used without a phone to just get heart rate, steps, and active time, if you have non-techie relatives. The app is really needed to get the full use from the device though.
I'd recommend it to anyone, whether you're mildly interested in improving your fitness or you're a more hardcore athlete who doesn't want a big clunky computer on your wrist.

    Awesome Fitness Tracker

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I picked up the FitBit AR 2 for my mom and she is loving it so far! The app is super intuitive and easy to use and she's had a ton of fun with all the stats that the FitBit tracks. As an avid runner, hiker, skier, and overall fit chick, she's been able to get a ton of use out of the FitBit in a short amount of time.
The band is also really convenient. With tons of interchangeable options, she can get away with wearing the FitBit at work without it looking super bulky or out of place. There are also tons of sizing options on the Large and Small, so in most cases you can get away with making either size work.

    Great Mothers Day Gift

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Gave this to my mom for Mother's day. She's really enjoyed learning how to use it and likes all of the features. Her only complaint is that the heart rate monitor doesn't work when you get really sweaty.

    Big improvement over Charge 1

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I had 2 first generation Charge fitbits fall apart on me, but this one seems to be built much better with a replaceable band. One of my favorite features is the gentle reminder each hour to get moving after I've been working at a desk all day.

    Wife Loves It

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought this for my wife as she needed an easy way to monitor her heart rate. She loves it, hasn't taken it off since it arrived! We ordered the small and the fit is perfect. Comfortable enough to wear at night to tracker her sleep. She's been bragging about it so much that we'll be gifting one to my mother-in-law for Mother's Day.

    Fit Bit Charge + HR

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The Fit Bit Charge plus HR has enough features to keep you healthy. Sleep - HR - Steps - Distance - Calories - Multisport modes. However I have found that I have to charge it every 2- 3 days.. Which I find severely limits the functionality of the device.

    So Many Features

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've had my Fitbit for about two months now and I must say it's really handy. The app really makes the fitbit shine! They have found a cool to making working out fun and you can track your workout progress, calories burned and also see how well you slept last night. So many small details that let you know your health is and how you can important on it. Once in a while the HR sensor doesn't track heart rate fast enough but it's only when I'm working out really hard. I can see why it's the best fitness wristband out there!

    Better than the first generation

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've been wearing FitBits for the last four years, and this one is the best one that I have owned yet! I love that you can change the bands and that the tracker is its own unit-- rather than permanently affixed to the straps like the first generation charge was. This increases the durability and longevity of the tracker. No complaints!

    Great Watch

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is my 3rd FitBit watch, and the best one for sure. Nice large display and stylish rose gold color. Nice having the phone compatibility for calls/texts. The HR monitor seems pretty accurate. The app is also great and informative. Overall, happy with my purchase.

    Love it!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

My boyfriend gave this to me and I love it! He got me the rose gold color with the purple band and its absolutely beautiful! It definitely motivates me when I wear it! I really like that you can get your texts to show up on the screen, great feature!

    I Joined The Club

I've never been much of a watch-wearer, but I do like fitness stats and challenging myself, so I figured I could learn how to be a watch-wearer and I'm glad I did. The watch is comfortable and I forget that I have it on most days. It charges really quick (like maybe 30 mins for a full charge from zero), and I've gone 6 days without charging. Obviously there are a lot of different ways to use this device and all of the info it can give you. For what I do (tracking steps and exercise goals) it's great and I really like the app.

      Great Watch

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Love this watch I wear it any time I can. It looks great and it is small enough to not bug me but big enough to still give me all the information. Highly recommended.

      It's decent

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Size Bought: N/A
      • Height: 5'11"
      • Weight: 183lbs

I've had my Charge HR for the past year. I found it to be more of a fun gadget for checking how much energy I'm expending during the day. I have a job where I'm physically active most of the day with daily trips to the gym and/or rock climbing gym for workouts. I don't use it to track weight loss/management, etc.... While it is fun to use for the counter, I find the battery life to be lacking somewhat. I can go for maybe 2-3 days on one charge. Perhaps it is just me, but I'd like to get at least 5 days before charging. I also find that the heavier drain on my iPhone 6s is annoying when adding that bluetooth on all the time. At that point, it's more convenient to strap on my old Bertucci field watch. I'll run the FitBit occassionally, more when it suits my fancy.

      Love my Fitbit!

I treat'ed m'selt to a fitbit for my birthday and let's just say it keeps on giving and keeps me motivated to workout. I love the size, the stopwatch, and relaxation feature, along with the fat that I can see and track everything in the app!

      It is good

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Got this for my 13 year old. It seems that all of his friends have them and love to use the social part of the Fitbit community to challenge each other. He has been obsessed with his activity level. He has been going strong for the last month or so. I don't see any signs of stopping. I asked him for a review. This is what he said.

"It is good. I like the display and it has accurate heart rate. It charges well and the band is good quality. It very easy to take on and off. It is quite comfy. The adjustment system is a little too coarse. It is either too tight of to loose. It is a good Fitbit overall."
