Ranger Free 120 Alpine Ski Boot

One day you're lapping groomers front side with your buddies, the next you're in knee-deep backside powder, and on another day you're touring in untouched backcountry snow. It doesn't matter what kind of terrain you're in the mood for, the versatile, ultra-light Fischer Ranger Free 120 Alpine Ski Boot can handle it all. Low weight means you have more energy to take on those long uphills or technical descents, so Fischer constructed the Ranger Free with its Grilamid shell that also offers you a high energy transfer. Even the liner is as minimalistic as possible while still being supportive and comfortable. It can also be thermoshaped so you can create a perfect fit for each of your feet.

When your day calls for some fresh, untouched backcountry powder, switch the integrated cuff lever to Walk mode for 55 degrees of motion while you're on the move. The Ranger Free is equipped with motion support in the form of a pivot point fixed liner cuff that enables less drag during the walk for more durability throughout your touring day. For traversing on exposed rock or slick ice, Vibram GripWalk allows you to confidently charge onward and upward without having to worry so much about slipping. All of this backcountry travel is possible with original Dynafit inserts that provide guaranteed compatibility to all tech-bindings. So no matter what the conditions or your mood has you seeking out, the Ranger Free 120 is ready to take you there.

I worked this season in Mammoth mountain (the worst season I have ever seen BTW) and I have used this boots, literaly, everyday since I got them. When you need the boot not just to ski, but also to work and you use the product for at least 9 hours a day, if the product is not comfortable nor appropriate you will surely find yourself in troubles. That was not my case. I have put this boots through the worst you can surely give them, not only skiwise but also the troubles that working as a lift operator brings. I have hit them with shovels, with skis, with snowboard, with chair lifts, I have even once stuck my feet in a snowmobile but they where just as brand new. The walking mode is super practical, super comfortable and super easy to access. The stifnes is just right, even though I would have loved to had the 130, these ones where super. When skiing they behaved properly, from soft black diamond groomers to hard ice, you just felt fine and sure that these boots where there for you and that they would not dissapoint you. Unfortunately I really wear them out stetically but they still got the job done. Whenever I am buying a new pair of boots, theay MUST be at least as good as this ones. Super happy about them.
