Skins have been around since people started to ski, more or less, but the Fischer ProFoil Ranger Climbing Skins are shaking up the game. Instead of the classic furry design, the ProFoil mimics the waxless fishscale pattern found on certain Nordic skis, which means you can enjoy the same grip along with 20% more glide, which'll make every approach and ascent that much easier. The ProFoil's synthetic construction also won't absorb any water or be affected by cold, so you'll never have to deal with soggy, heavy, and frozen skins again.

Plastic is not better just different
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
These skins are light fast and don't get wet. The pre cut is nice too I guess. That's all they do well now here are the problems. They do not grip well on steep slopes compared to my old dumpster skins. The folds in the plastic are made at the factory and the can't be moved so in my opinion the skin folds up too long. They are so long and pokey that they wont fit in my jacket while skiing without them feeling like they are about to rip the jacket. Because of this its hard to keep the skins warm so the glue wont stick to the skis anymore by the third transition. They also take up more space in a pack and make the transition process harder due to how stiff the plastic is and the fact that a skin saver is required or else they wont come unstuck.
My glue is losing its stickiness after three seasons, is there a way to repair or replace it?
I was I cannot tell how these skins attach to the front of the skis? Also the description describes it in two ways - at the top they call it a hook and at the bottom it says it is a loop?
