This is a heavy weight wool jacket good for any winter conditions. I ended up returning my first one, they run a bit large. Medium fit me perfectly since I was going for a relaxed fit with room for layering.
I got this jacket for my husband and it is his new favorite jacket. He wears it ANY time he can. It is heavy and warm and super stylish. I love Filson quality so I felt great about spending the money on such a sturdy, long lasting jacket.

I had an older fit of this jacket which was referred to as the Seattle Fit and it was one of my favorite jackets I had ever owned. Unfortunately, the jacket was taken while at the local watering hole. Since I loved the jacket so much, I instantly looked at replacing it. After poking around a bit and speaking with Filson, I learned that they have discontinued the Seattle Fit but are offering this as its replacement. I figured I would pick it up and give it a try. I am not thrilled with the new fit. I purchased the same size (medium) and the sleeve length seems to be the same. However, there is much more room in the torso. If you were unable to layer with the Seattle fit, you will definitely be able to layer with this new fit. I think I could fit 2 of my torsos in this jacket and still have room to spare.
I am not sure if I will end up keeping this jacket but it wasn't an instant deal-breaker. If you found the seattle fit to be a little trim or tight, I definitely recommend giving the new fit a try.
