Sweet style, yet lacking durability.

I've put it through the wringer

I purchased this beanie in hopes of getting a bit more warmth and comfort out of the merino that I wasn't getting in the acrylic blend I'd been wearing for the last couple of winters. My initial impression was that the beanie fit a little tight - to be expected though, I've got a size 7 1/2 size hat size - and the coverage was a little less than what I was hoping for. Nonetheless, I gave it a go. After only a handful of wears I noticed the stitching began to frey and unravel. Worked through Filson to get a replacement. Hoping the second try will render better results.

My favorite beanie! The second you look at, and touch, this beanie, you can tell it's different from 95% of the beanies out there. Wool just has a different feel to it. It's a medium thickness and is very warm. It can be worn comfortably casually in not-so-cold temps, as I often do. I've worn mine a over 10x and a lot of those times have when I was too damn lazy to wash my greasy hair. And, can I just say, t's doing a fantastic job of stayin'' odor-free! I want it in every color! Recommended for sure.

Classic Warm Beanie

Filson is extremely well made and you can sense that with the Beanie. 100% Wool keeps you warm and insulated. At first use it was tighter, but after a few days is a perfect fit for my larger head. It is a medium thickness, and feels durable. I've used it down in negative temperatures in Southern Utah winters, and on the windy washington coast. At times I would take it off because it would be so warm. I was surprised that a stylish beanie would also perform so well in the elements. With the beanie you can cuff it, or leave as is, and the logo remains the same either way. The only downside would be at first it is itchy on the forehead because of the wool, but I quickly became accustom to the feeling. Wonderful purchase, one of my favorite beanies.

Well made, stylish, warm and versatile -- as you'd expect from Filson. You can wear the hat cuffed up, or pull the cuff down for a more casual fit/look. Love this hat!

Not as big a cuff as shown

I love this beanie. Wear it almost every day in the winter and hunting. However, if you're looking for a beanie with a larger cuff...this is not it. If you were to cuff the beanie like in the picture shown you'd only cover the tips of your ears. I don't think I have an overly large or tall head (7 3/8 fitted hat size) but I only get about an inch or inch and a half cuff out of it and the bottoms of my ears still stick out with the cap pulled down tight. Not annoying or bad, but worth mentioning.
