Everything you would expect from a brand like Filson with an exceptional reputation for producing durable, high quality goods. I bought this for my partner as an alternative to his hooded lightweight down Patagonia. He prefers this one hands down. Jacket is lightweight but feels like it is heavier than it is because it is warmer and the materials are higher quality. It has lots of pockets and the outer material is stronger than most down jackets. Everything about this jacket feels intentional, from the fabrics and hardware used to location of the pockets. Jacket does run slightly large through the body so we ended up sizing down from an XL to a L.
