One Good Hat
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
This hat rocks. Was looking for a good travel/ field hat. Not to hipster, not to old man. Just the right blend. I love the warm brown earth tones. No one does waxed cotton like Filson.

Great hat!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I wore this hat for a seven day canoe trip, and I couldn't be happier. I loved not being worried if it was getting crushed in my bag, or if it was getting wet, or anything else. I ordered a size medium, which my head is on the bigger end of, but I didn't want to lose it in the wind, since it doesn't have a chin strap. It's tight, but flexible, so it wasn't too bad. While the hat doesn't breathe like a straw hat would, I didn't find myself overheating too much in the heat and humidity. I probably won't wear it in the summer in the desert, but it was suitable for August in the Boundary Waters.

Filson Tin Packer
Worn the hat only once while fly fishing the Weber River. Kept the sun off my next and face. Fit well and packs away nice with my fly fishing gear.

Did you pack it down flat and it still hold its shape?
