This is a perfect hat between 30° and 70° when the weather is nasty. The wider brim is awesome and wearing this is like having a roof over your head. It breathes only slightly so it traps heat well but isn't great for hot temperatures. I haven't pushed the waterproofness to its limit but for a few hours outside in the hail / sleet / rain it's been the most welcome ally.
