Cool jacket. Slightly funky fit.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a cool piece. I was able to find it a size down, and it's still a little larger than I was shooting for. For its intended purpose- which I assume is to layer over a flannel or two and a sweater, while perched atop a horse, with a stetson on, ready to rope a few head of calf- the super loose fit might be functional. Has kind of a Carhartt aesthetic.

Originally, I ordered a medium, which is pretty much always my size. I'm 5'9", 175, big-ish chest... mild pudginess lately (#dadbod). I wear a 40R suit jacket off the rack with generally good success. This fits pretty big. I looked like I was a 10th grader wearing my dad's jacket.

So I found a small from another reseller. It's still a touch on the big side, but it should work well with layers and still provide some good mobility.
