Looks great, amateurish design
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Got it for its looks and Filsons supposed rigged reputation. There?s a few flaws that stand out as amateurish basic design flaws that tell me Filson is an overpriced fashion ?lifestyle? brand not a serious ?? indoor company. First the snaps connection the roll top ends are both the same ie ?female-female? so you can?t connect them and close the roll-top that way, you have to use the side straps. This is roll/top 101. Then the Velcro strap loop to secure the middle strap is far too short to hold the center strap tidy when it?s rolled down (or when most strap is dangling and so when you need a strap fastener most) and impossible to use with gloves, barely a few mm of Velcro to get around the strap when rolled up. The pack also weighs a ton you think there?s a full water bottle inside even when empty and it sits very low in the back not comfortable for hiking to me. Also the Velcro along the inside top to seal the top has no strap or interruption to help you get a grip when opening the bag so it?s annoying and again impossible w gloves. But looks good walking around the hotel grounds perhaps.
