Dictator 3.0 Ski

If you alternate between hunting down the resort's biggest lines and dropping sidecountry lines in untouched snow, then the Faction Dictator 3.0 Ski might be the thing for you. Designed for freeriders who need a ski that can handle all conditions, this ski has a versatile yet powder-loving 105mm waist width, so you'll have no problem cruising through hard-packed or choppy groomers while you wait for ski patrol to open up the good stuff. From there the modern profile allows you float through deeper snow and head to whatever line you are eyeing up that day.

  • Versatile ski at home in the resort and even into the backcountry
  • 105mm waist is versatile for variable resort conditions
  • Rockered tips create float in deep snow, control in variable snow
  • Camber underfoot to the tail holds an edge, adds stability at speed
  • Medium turn radius boosts stability, ensures maneuverability
  • Tapered tip and tail prevents the skis from hooking at high speeds
  • Poplar and paulownia core is lightweight and responsive
  • Sintered base skips across flat spots and cat tracks with ease
  • Item #FSK0039

The Dictators

The Dictators are nothing but true to their name. Without being properly equipped with the necessary skill, luster, and leg power to come boot to binding with this ski, the dictators will happily overwhelm and take control of the modest skier. However, with the proper strength and confidence one can learn to control these dictators and harness their true power. The dictators were hands down one of the most chargey directional skis I have ever ripped. The dictators offer impeccable edge control and plow through all and any chunder with ease. One word I would not use do describe the dictators is playful. As a truly directional ski, you will never see the dictators moving backwards or getting buttery in any type of way. These things are meant to charge, full speed, down any run you put them on. Stiff and rugged. I must once again stress the control and power it takes to handle the dictators. These skis are not for beginners, intermediates, or the playful expert. Simple mistakes are not tolerated and without the proper cadence you may feel yourself being taken advantage of. They rip in the powder because they sink a bit, offering better access to face shots on longer slashes, but are limited in their abilities to throw in quick slashes. Expect to get out what you put in with this ski. I can see this being a favorite of any transitioning racer or mogul skier wanting that one quiver ski for the groomers (I cannot describe how amazing these feel down the fresh corduroy) , all mountain, and moguls. Or for the true big mountain ripper pointing gnarly lines and sticking to backies and full spins, no switch. Only with the proper skill, power, and control will you be able to unlock the dictators true potential as quite possibly the most aggressive, cliff jumping, groomer ripping, line charging, and edge gripping ski of them all.
