    Candide 3.0 Ski

When you’re ideal day on hill consists of early morning pow turns, midday off piste jibbing, and late afternoon park laps, equip yourself with the Faction Candid 3.0 ski. This 108mm waisted ski has heavy jib and park influences that make it ideal for the modern jib-rat who needs a ski that handles well, and can be used with confidence, in many different conditions. To achieve this versatility the 3.0 features a rocker-camber-rocker profile, medium stiff flex and lightweight construction.

To provide the versatility you demand, the rocker-camber-rocker profile mixes explosive edge power and pop underfoot with floaty and forgiving rocker out to the tips and tails. This combination allows for hard edging on big lines and groomers, excellent maneuverability in fresh snow, and precise control in freestyle situations. Working with the profile of this ski, the mid-stiff flex, adds responsiveness and stability underfoot as well as the potential for butters out in the tip and tail so that you can paint your own line down the mountain. The balsa and poplar wood core is sandwiched by fiberglass and a durable titanal plate to provide responsiveness and torsional rigidity, while keeping things light enough so your legs stay fresh from bell to bell.

    • Versatile all-mountain ski that encourages creative lines and jibbing
    • 108mm waist can handle any snow conditions you come across
    • Combined profile floats in pow, cruises chop, and holds an edge
    • Mid-stiff flex is stable at speed, responsive in trees, and consistent
    • Excels in freestyle and freeride scenarios due to directional twin shape
    • Titanal binding plate adds rigidity and binding retention for durability
    • Balsa and poplar core is durable, responsive, and extremely lightweight

    This Ski Rips

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I rode this ski on a sleeper spring pow day at Solitude. It is super playful and bouncy, really fun for tight trees and side hits. It gives plenty of float for Utah powder and doesn't flap around when you straight line a groomer to make it past the flats. All in all I have no complaints and highly recommend these to anyone who likes to spend their way down seeking out jibby side hits and ripping the untouched pow in the tight trees.

    Candide Series

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The Candide series really covers all your needs. The Candide 3.0 is no exception. Slash groomers and float pow with the 108 waist width. Truly a versatile all-around ski.

    Only ski needed

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Mounted free ride position, gives extra tip float in powder and still enough tail support to pop from turn to turn on hard pack. Not as much maneuverability in deep pow as a Rossi S7 but the added tail support makes it a more versatile ski.

    The Candide 3.0 rips

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought these skis for my boyfriend and he loves!

"Seriously the only ski you’ll ever need; a one ski quiver. They don’t float like a 125 mm pow ski, but they’ll more than get you through the deepest days. Also great in chunder and crud, where they’re damp and stable yet playful. They may look like park skis but they’ll charge through anything. Lay them over on a groomer day and they’ll rail. Get in a sketchy situation going too fast and you can release the tail to scrub on a dime. Don’t buy this ski unless you’re ready to scare yourself."
