These are fantastic! Soft, comfortable, breathable, all around awesome undies. I'm particular about the waistband and the part that goes around your legs to hold them in place, I hate picking wedgies. I have no complaints about these though! You really need to get yourself a pair!

I had no idea I could love (or even care about) a pair of underwear as much as I love ExOfficio’s Mesh line. After initially purchasing a single pair, I am now on a mission to eventually wear nothing but these. The briefs are an anomaly in that they don’t create panty lines with your favorite yoga pants, and not once have they wedged themselves during a run or climb. Be prepared for bright colors! The pictures don’t do them justice. I would give these underwear more stars if it were possible.

    This is Nick's wife, Lynsey:

I really like these panties. They are great for hiking, skiing or whatever activity. Breath well, fit like a glove. My only complaint is that I wish they were more seamless, definitely have panty lines.

    What underwear?

These babies are so soft and comfortable it will leave you thinking to yourself “did I forget to put on my underwear?” But no, you didn’t because you’re wearing ExOfficio Give-N-Go Mesh Bikini Brief. They are so breathable, and don’t get bunched up or caught in tight jeans. They go great with leggings as well with their seamless seams. They are much cutter and flattering that the stock photo as well. Id say they fit larger than I would guess. Or perhaps they fit the way undies are supposed to fit. I got a size small and they fit perfectly. I general y wear a small but the waist can be a tad tight. These don’t have that issue.

    And now for the update

    I still love these panties!

I can see why no one says "panties," it just sounds bad, doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, does it?

Lemme try again, I still love these Give-N-Go Mesh Bikini Briefs!

I mentioned before that I have both a Small and a Medium and that I couldn't really see much difference in size. After 30 miles, the difference is clear - the Mediums ride up after awhile.

I was on the trail with my dad and figured that since he changed my diapers, I could probably pick a wedgie in front of him. Turns out, that's a really tough maneuver while wearing a heavy pack.

Other than a little creep from a non-optimal size, I have nothing negative to say. Follow the size chart to awesome briefs.

ExOfficio knows their stuff. These underwear are spectacularly comfortable. I'm going to buy more. In size small :)

The active fit, ultralight mesh, and smooth fabric waistband make the Sport Mesh the most comfortable performance underwear you’ll ever put on. Whether you’re cycling in Bolivia, trekking through Thailand, or trail running in your home range, the Sport Mesh will keep you cool, fresh, and comfortable.

Not just my "travel" undies any more

OMG, these are the most amazing undies I have ever owned. I'm downsizing my underwear drawer, because these do it all. I bought my first pair for a trip to Thailand - 3 weeks with a 35L backpack, so space was at a premium. By now I've tried all the different styles, and these ones are by far the best. The thick trim made me think I'd be getting some major VPL, but not so. I mean, they don't compare to the "invisible" undies that have absolutely no trim or seams around the legs, but these ones are pretty darn invisible under most things. Plus, the quick dry! I took 3 pairs with me on my trip, and I really only needed 2. They dry in what seems like minutes (probably 1 hour or less in reality), and they really hold up even with heavy use. But the mesh bikini is my favorite style of the ExOfficio travel undies - it's a lot sportier, and I absolutely believe I could get away wearing these as a swim bottom in a pinch. I've also worn them under clothes while taking a dip in a lake - they were dry by the time I got back to the car. I ended up liking them so much I really don't like wearing any other undies at all - basic cotton really can't compare. I get super sweaty during workouts, which means I usually have to bring an extra pair of undies with me when I go to the gym - not with these babies!

Anyway, I am a complete believer in the ExOfficio travel undies. Buy them!

    Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere!

I usually buy my underwear where I buy my beer – both come in a 6-pack, makes sense they’d be sold in the same store. I didn’t know any better, okay?

Thank you and ExOfficio for hand-selecting me to review the Give-N-Go Sport Mesh Bikini Briefs for the benefit of the community.

ExOfficio hooked me up with a very attractive pair of Daiquiri Sport Mesh Briefs in medium. I was pleased to receive them but I’ll admit that I did wonder who would spend that much money on underwear. I tried them on and stopped wondering.

In fact, I IMMEDIATELY BOUGHT A SECOND PAIR; Firefly in small. Both sizes fit just fine. The mediums aren’t baggy and the smalls aren’t tight *shrug* don’t ask me. I compared them side by side and the smalls are visibly smaller. For vanity’s sake I’d probably buy more size small but truly, small and medium are equally comfortable for me.

If I had a time machine, I would tell my past self:
    1. Keep your music files organized, iTunes will never stop sucking.
    2. Underwear shouldn’t come in a resealable bag.

The comfort has been a revelation. I never considered my old underwear uncomfortable but the Give-N-Go Sport Mesh briefs are so light and airy. The stitching is flat and soft, no panty lines. They’re really foxy-looking too, I like the contrast stitching and the bright colors.

The quick-dry feature is no joke. We hiked up to Stevens Lake and because I’m committed to product testing, I gave the Sport Mesh a wash in the lake and hung them in a tree hoping that they wouldn’t be wet when we headed down. I needn’t have worried, we fished and snacked for 2.5hrs, the Sport Mesh briefs were dry when were ready to leave.

Like Adventure Mama says in her review - wash a pair, wear a pair. I’ve been trading between my 2 pair for a couple of weeks now. I’m excited about saving some space in my backpack and my suitcase; these are the go-to underwear for travel.

I should probably stop extolling the virtues of my underoos everywhere I go, strangers look at me funny, but the world must know!

If You Only Have One Pair of Underwear

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is the one you need. The tagline on ExOfficio Underwear reads: 17 Countries, 6 Weeks, and One Pair of Underwear. After having gone through similar adventure trips, I'd suggest two pairs - so you have something to wear when you wash the first unless you like going commando or have a bikini. But seriously, this stuff is awesome.

The Give-N-Go is unbelievably lightweight, along with my other ExOfficio gear. This is a key consideration for me both in summer and for backpacking with kids, where we are going as ultra-lite as we can. Like wearing nothing, the fabric keeps you happy and cool even in beating heat. It is soft to touch and so much more comfortable than I imagined. I'm usually a size L, and the L fits me well with no lines. Despite the super light weight, it is opaque and you could pull it off as a bikini for a quick dip in the waterfall after you hike up. This material dries faster than any swimsuit (actually, than anything) I've seen. Whether you dunked it or washed it, it will be good as new in the sun in under 30 minutes, and overnight in about an hour.

Despite wearing for several days in a row, periodic splashes in salt water, and handwashing/sun-drying only, these maintain a like-new feel. No crispness to the fabric or nasty smells here.

I've tried other performance underwear for backpacking, and am so much happier with ExOfficio Give-N-Go. The ultra-light weight-ness and continued softness of the fabric are the biggest selling points in my opinion. Not to mention ExOfficio was kind enough to make Give-N-Go in a variety of styles (including lacy - are you guys for real??) and cute colors along with more neutral black. I love the firefly combo on this set. Also critical from my point of view - no lines and no tight seams! I'm loving it.

Big thanks to for including me in their trusted reviewer program and pairing me with ExOfficio to test out some of their lightweight products this summer to benefit the Backcountry community. Everything I own from ExOfficio is super sturdy, lightweight, keeps sun and bugs off, and is perfect for the upcoming hot months.
