I really like these underwear. I took 3 pair for a 25 day trip in the Mediterranean and simply handwashed each day. Dry quickly even in humid environment. My only nitpick is that they tend to “pill” in the backside after a few uses and washings. Otherwise great underwear for travel, lightweight, comfortable, quick drying.

After years of saggy briefs, these have been a great addition to my drawer. They are extremely comfortable and easy to pack on trips. I plan to replace the rest of my briefs ASAP!

Go To Briefs
Absolutely love these and use as my go to daily brief. Excellent construction, comfort, support and breath ability. At 6’1”, 180, small is the best fit. Mediums are too big for my slender physique.

Can the type of briefs matter?
Oh yes! I just don't sweat anymore down there and they're also not cold during colder days. I'm in the process of changing every brief I've got to this one, currently have 8 of them.

Boxer Brief Convert
My buddy used these for a two week trip in SE Asia and had nothing but good things to say. He told me it was 98 degrees with 80 percent humidity but the briefs kept him dry and prevented chafing. He got these to wear with short shorts but told me he's converting to the brief life 100 percent.

Happy package, happy client, what else can I say?

Back in the late summer, me and my son went on a 2 week long 70+ mile backpacking/hiking/camping trip to Philmont near Cimarron, NM. Having never been before, I asked others who've been for advice on what to pack. One suggestion that I was given several times was to make sure and pack the right KIND of underwear. I'm 36 years old and have worn plain white cotton briefs my entire life and nothing else. Even when boxers and boxer briefs grew in popularity, I've always stuck to wearing briefs and really like the way they look and feel as well as the comfort and support they provide. And even though my son is 14 years old and in high school, he still prefers wearing white cotton briefs as well. I also don't find it necessary to spend a lot on underwear, so a typical purchase involves multi-packs of white Hanes (for me) and Fruit of the Loom (for my son) briefs from Walmart or Target. So seeing as neither of us have never owned or worn anything but plain white cotton briefs, I wasn't sure what it meant to pack the right KIND of underwear. When I asked what I should look for, I was told to "buy ExOfficio briefs". So when making some last minute purchases for the trip, I looked around and finally found 6 packages of these ExOfficio briefs in solid white...3 each for my son and myself. When we got home, I threw mine in to be washed without trying them on but my son tried his on and seemed very happy with how they fit and felt. He even commented about how soft they were and that they looked and fit just like the white briefs he normally wears...except that they were "cooler" and more airy. Once we were on the trail at Philmont, I was equally impressed with how well they seemed to hold up, along with the fact they wicked away sweat very well and stayed dry all day long despite sweating a lot. But probably the best thing about them is that they helped to prevent any chafing or discomfort in our private areas that many of the other boys and adult leaders had to deal with. With a group of nine teenage boys ranging in ages from 13 to 15, there wasn't really any diversity in their choice of underwear, so all of them (with the exception of my son) had only brought what they usually wear...plain white 100% cotton briefs, or "tighty whities" to use a more accurate term. At the end of the day, me and my son were able to wash out our ExOfficio briefs with bear-proof soap and allow them to quickly dry, but the other boys and adult leaders had to construct a makeshift clothes line from which to hang out their tighty whities to dry overnight. We had very few, if any, issues with these ExOfficio briefs doing exactly what they were designed to do and both of us were very happy that we'd brought them with us. Since they are somewhat pricey, I haven't had the need to purchase additional pairs and both me and my son usually stick with our regular Hanes or FOTL briefs for everyday wear. But at least after having bought pairs of these for the trip, we now have something to wear when going out for a run, hike or bike ride. These briefs really are a fantastic product and I'm glad they work so well.

Only Brief My Husband Now Wears
Hubby says these are the only undies that he can wear while riding his Harley without chafing. He now wears them each and every day. He loves them especially when he can get them on sale.

Best under where, period.
I have several pair of these and love them. Also tried other similar brands, but these are way better. Great when traveling, really. Comfortable, great fit and super easy to wash in hotel sink. Worth it.

Write your question here...I heard that there were fit problems with a "new model" in 2008; they went back to the "original" model in 2009..... and that the new model (improved) had "ex officio" all around on the upper band---which your picture doesn't show. Is your product the 2008 version or the 2009 version?
March 1, 2010
it is 2009. I have asked the buyers to update their photos. Thanks for keeping us up to speed.
