While these perform okay, they are not as comfortable as the previous design (model). These seem to have removed the front pouch and generally seems to be a cheaper cut/assembly. They are a little too expensive for what you get in my opinion. I will definitely buy the former design; but will pass on more of these.

I bought 2 green and 1 gray a few months ago and the green ones show snag loops of thread and pilling at several areas on each pair. The gray ones seem to be wearing better. I purchased several pair of Exofacio undershorts in 2012 that wore very well, the elastic has been giving out recently. 2 stars -- not recommended -- I cannot change the number of stars.

While I never thought that these words would leave my mouth, I just can't help but say - I adore this underwear. After purchasing two pair for a trip to Italy with my wife and kids where I wanted to pack light (fit into one bag) and be comfortable, I bought 3 more for a fishing trip, canoe trip and EVERYDAY wear. First off, they are super soft and love the way that they feel. Second, the boxer-brief cut is a fantastic combo that perfectly fuses comfort with athletic performance. It keeps everything in the right place, but also allows a great deal of movement and give when walking, hiking, climbing, etc. Third, they are lightweight, compact, and easy to roll-up and store. Fourth, they are stink resistant and allow you you wear them for multiple days without being too gross. Fifth, the material is easy to clean and fast drying, so after you've completely nuked them, you can hit the refresh button by traditionally washing or going more off the grid in a sink, stream or pond. Fresh as a daisy! My only minor critiques are that they are pricy and as such require a more phased approach for total underwear replacement and that the fly access is pretty challenging (lots of digging at tough angles), so I've had to change to an unbutton and pull down method when using the facilities. If you need a new pair comfortable athletic do everything underwear, then look no further - these will be you new best friend on and off the trail.

Need more...Bought into this brand 8 years ago on an around the world trip and not a single issue with the old ones...and almost love them as much as my new ones. So go buy your man a pair!....heck.....buy him a shipping container of'em! He and I will be great friends and he will have a crap ton of underwear!!!....and Great ones at that! .........and is it really appropriate to add a photo or video of my undies???......meh.......maybe next time.

I've worn these on a couple of day hikes and around work. They feel very nice, are very light, and breathable. They line dry fairly quick. Only downside is they didn't have a whole lot of support, felt more like boxers. Going to try a smaller pair and see if that helps

I originally bought these for a long backpacking trip as I wanted briefs that would provide support, reduce chafing, could dry easy and were not cotton. These ticked all the boxes and then some, they are soo comfortable that I have quickly ramped up my inventory to use these as my daily boxers and not just for technical activities. I could not recommend these more. I typically wear between a 32/33 waist and the mediums fit perfect. The only thing better than one pair is buying the two pack!

Great for travel

My boyfriend got a lot of use out of these while on our backpacking trip. He was able to wear them for a couple days without starting to smell. The only downside was sometimes the fabric would get caught in his leg hair and pull causing some discomfort. Overall they were great and lightweight.

I bought a pair of these just prior to a ten day trip through southern Spain, hoping to wear them for at least one or two days while exploring on foot. After walking between 10-12 miles a day in the heat (75-80 degrees), I can confidently say these are the best pair of day-to-day boxers I've purchased in a long time. They fit similar to a compression short would, but slightly looser, similar to a boxer brief. I would say they run "true to size" compared to your normal boxer brief, but be ready for them to be a closer fit. Another benefit of their construction is that they would can be used as "active" boxer briefs or just day-to-day wear. If you wanted to have something you could wear to work, but also on a hike or to the gym, these would absolutely get the job done. I've already purchased three more pairs and plan on replacing my existing boxer brief collection with just these ExOfficio boxer briefs.
